••••••••••

The next day hit hard.

The whole house was chilled extremely. The floor was ice to walk on, the walls blocks of it, and the roof creaking between the wind blowing and the snow falling harshly.

Kevin awoke first, grabbing the first fuzzy robe he saw, and slipping it on, tying the ties.

He glanced once at Avi before smiling, shaking his head, and heading out to the living room before making his usual cup of tea.

Jeremy slinked down the hall not too long after Kevin did, meeting him at the table and starting a conversation quietly.

Kirstie came out after that and sat next to Jeremy, wearing a lengthy shirt and some shorts, and setting her head on the table after making a good amount of eye contact with Kevin.

Kevin hitched his breath and stared at Jeremy's eyes.

They bonded too?

Kevin shook his head, and took a long sip of tea.

Scott and Mitch came out, sitting next to Jeremy and listening to the convo around them.

Avi was the last to arrive at the table, sitting next to Kevin and resting his head on Kevin's shoulder.

••••••••••

All of them gathered in the living room, all wearing the most warming and comfortable clothes they had.

Scott and Mitch were wearing fuzzy sweaters with thick jeans. Kevin was wearing his robe, Avi was wearing a winter coat, Kirstie was wearing a scarf and a beanie, and Jeremy was wearing a hoodie.

The hail kicked in a few minutes after they sat down in the living room, which wasn't long ago.

It was coming down pretty bad. Anybody who was out there was definitely catching hell.

A super loud "bang" came from the roof, as if something made an impact, or something fell.

Avi and Kevin stood from the couch and made it halfway to the front door before they heard a scrapping on the roof and a loud thump outside the door.

Kevin ran into the kitchen and grabbed to frying pans.

(A/N: It's not like there are guns here guys. We all love Tangled. So let's just deal with it.)

He handed one to Avi and they continued their slow walk towards the door.

Avi held the doorknob and whisper.

"3...2...1...Now!"

The door was swung open. But all that was there was confusion.

Avi and Kevin looked down and saw a black teenage girl, with wings, unconscious on their doorstep.

••••••••••

They brought her inside and set her on the big couch, finding a large heating pad and wrapping her up in it.

"Where do you think she came from?" Scott asked, looking at her with empathy.

"My guess is that she was flying in the weather, got caught, and her wings failed her in the midst of flying and she hit her head on our roof." Kevin chimed.

"Poor girl." Kirstie added, hugging Jeremy to get a little warmth.

Mitch pouted and walked over to the couch and sat down at her feet, watching the girl's slow breathing.

Her head moved slowly from side to side and there was a low groan from her.

"She's waking up!" Mitch exclaimed.

All of them rushed over to her, surrounding the open areas of the couch.

The girl propped herself up on her elbows and opened her eyes, taking in everything and everyone around her. But it wasn't familiar to her.

Her eyes widen in surprise and she started to freak out. She frantically climbed over the arm of the couch and started screaming at the top of her lungs.

She ran over towards the kitchen and stopped, shivering and shaking, terrified of what lay before her.

The others got up and stayed a reasonable distance from her. She expanded her wings to their full spand and changed her nails to claws.

Avi slowly walked up to her, hands up in defense.

"Don't freak out! We're not going to hurt you." He reached a hand out to her. Big mistake.

One swift movement and there were claw marks on Avi's arm, ones that would definitely leave massive scars.

Kevin put a hold on her and checked on Avi.

The girl struggled against the restraint, but soon stopped when she saw how hurt Avi was. She turned her eyes gray, got rid of her claws, and retracted her wings to lay flat against her back.

"Let me go, I can help him!" She cried, knowing that he might not make it if she didn't help him.

"How can you help him? You've already caused enough damage" Kevin spat.

"I can heal him." She stated, once again trying to get out of the restraint.

Kevin squinted at her, but let her go regardless, worrying that Avi would past out soon.

The girl walked over to Avi, took his arms, and placed her hands on the wounds. Her hands began to glow gray, and the wound began to slowly close together.

Once it was healed, the girl apologized to Avi and to the rest of them for being a nuisance.

She headed for the door, but Avi grabbed her shoulder and stopped her.

"Stay."

"What? Why?"

"Because you saved me. You could have left. Heck, you could have killed us all, but you didn't. For that, I'm grateful for your somewhat kind heart."

The girl smiled and thanked them all over and over again.

••••••••••

They all gathered in the living room once more, more calm and collected than the last time.

"So..What's your name?" Kirstie asked.

"Destiny."

"That's a pretty name!" Mitch gasped in awe.

"Thanks." She replied with a wide smile on her face.

"So, how did you end up infront of our door?" Scott questioned.

"Well I was flying and trying to find someplace to take shelter until the weather calmed down, but my body kinda froze in the middle of flapping my wings. So I fell, hit my head, and now I'm here." Destint explained, subconsciously wrapping her arms around her.

"Well you can definitely stay here." Kevin mentioned.

"Well thanks you guys." She said, happy to have a new place to call home.

They all relaxed in the living room for the rest of the stormy weather, talking about everything and informing their new house member how everything ran.

Their adventure would get better the longer she stayed. So everything will be alright.
