Well... Ain't That Something (Sandra Alva)

"Fuck man" I sigh loudly, as I remember me and my best friend Kaitlynn have work at around 4 pm today, just 2 hours after school has ended. "Work today."

"Fuuuuck I know man!" Kaitlynn replies leaning back in her seat. We were currently in 3rd block and bored out of our fucking minds. "Shiiiit only reason why we have a job anyways is cause of the band man!"

"Fuck yeah man!" Kaitlynn and our friends Jay, Steph and I were in a band. We were called 'Embrace The Broken' and we were a Hard-Rock/Pop-Punk band. Kaitlynn plays Drums, Jay plays Guitar, Steph plays Bass, and I sing and also play guitar. Jay however is lead, I'm rhythm.

Just then the bell rings, Kaitlynn and I head home. "See ya' in a while" I say as we said our goodbyes. Now let me introduce a bit about myself, not much I promise you. My name's Marri Jamison. I'm 16 and I'm a Junior in Highschool. A lot of people say I'm lucky cause I live in Los Angeles California. To be honest It's hot as shit, and you don't just always bump into celebrities here. Okay maybe you do, but you're fucking lucky if you do. Anyways, back to myself. I'm a proud and out lesbian, and I fucking love music and bands and I especially love Modern Day Escape.

Anyways as I get home I quickly do my homework, chores, take a shower, and eat before I set off to work, blasting 'New Life' Modern Day Escape's newest album on my way to work.

As I get there, I put all my crap into my locker grab my apron and head to the cash register. I work at a Café, so we hardly get any people in here. Mostly hipsters and crap.

"Don't worry Fabulousness has arrived!" I hear as I see Kaitlynn enter from the front of the café.

"Hahaha yeah bullshit!" I yell tossing a piece of paper, I was drawing on, at her.

"Hahaha fuck you!" She says ducking, heading to the break room.

Time went by slow, even with Kaitlynn here, it was pretty boring. Until, about an hour and a half later, I couldn't believe who was walking in. It was motherfucking Modern Day Escape. Of course Will was wearing his horse mask. Or should I say Hallway Horse?

I was about to lose my fucking shit, until they sat themselves and I approached them.

"Uh - H-Hi, my name's uh Marri what can I get you all this evening?" I try to say without fangirling.

"I'm guessing you know who we are." I turn my head to the left and see Sandra motherfuckin' Alva give me an amazing looking smile. "I can tell by your shirt."

I had totally forgotten that I was wearing my black Modern Day Escape shirt today. I was trying hard not to freak out! I wasn't really a huge fan of Sandra to be honest, so I don't know why I'm acting this way. At this point I'm blushing way too hard to even hide it.

"I- uh." I stutter. I can't figure out what to say.

"Hahaha, it's okay you can freak out, I'm used to it." Sandra tells me smiling her smile that can make you explode into a million different fucking pieces.

"Th-That's not very professional Sandra." I manage to stutter out, but hey! At least it's a complete sentence!

"Hahaha, you're actually cute when you stutter." She informs me, still giving me that smile that can make you explode. She causally bites her lips and says "I'll get a coke."

"Is- Uh Pepsi fine?" I ask still stuttering. Which is weird cause I've met celebrities before and rockstars before so I was used to it. This. This was something else I'm sure.

"That's completely okay." She assures me, smiling still.

"I'll get some coffee." James orders.

"Same here man." Don and Jack all order.

Hallway horse neighs. "Dr. Pepper pleaasee! And can we get these to goooo."

I giggle and I notice Sandra smiling at me. "Okay anything else?" I ask.

"No thank you." Sandra speaks for them all, in that cutesy fucking voice. I walk away still blushing hard, getting all of there orders.

"Yoooooo!" I hear Kaitlynn whisper to me in excitement. "You obviously got a thing for Sandra!"

"No I don't." I whisper back.

"Yes you doo" Kaitlynn says.

I simply roll my eyes and give Modern Day Escape their orders. "There we go. You sure you don't want anything else?"

"Nope we're good, thanks though!" James  says getting up.

"Here this should cover the drinks, and hey! It was nice meeting you!" Sandra says to me still smiling, all the while handing me the money.

"N-Ni-Nice meeting you too." I say blushing.

"Well, we better get going!" Hallway Horse neighs and gets up with the rest of the band and head out.

"Well" I say " That sure was something."

"FUCK YEAH IT WAS!" I hear Kaitlynn yell at me from the break room.

... anyways that was 6 years ago. I'm 22 now and the band I'm in is actually signed onto StandBy Records. Pretty awesome right? Anyways, I grab my bags from inside the house and head outside where our new van (one that won't break down) is parked.

"Hey" I turn around and see my girlfriend Danni standing at the doorway. She walks to me and gives me a giant hug. "I'm really going to miss you."

"I am too baby." I respond. I hear sniffing and realize that, Danni is crying. She wasn't one for crying. I knew she meant what she had said when she said she'd miss me.

"Hey, look don't cry. Okay? I'll try to Facetime you as much as I can and I'll try to call as much as I can. Okay? I promise." I assure her.

She looks at me in the eyes. "I love you."

"I love you too."

"Hey! Ready to go?" It was Jay. She had been standing there the whole time.

"Yeah" I let go of Danni's hug "I'm ready"

"Alright then! Let's go!" Jay says and we head to the van and head off and I could see in the distance Danni wave goodbye.

We got a chance to be on Warped Tour this year and we were excited about it! Mostly cause we're going on tour with MDE and well, IT'S WARPED TOUR! DUH.
