Well... Ain't That Something (Sandra Alva)

The Invitation

"Oh, damn it Marri, I thought it was something serious." Steph yells at me.

"It is serious!" I yell back.

"Oh yeah?" she questions me. "How so?"

"Because, because, because" I didn't know why it was important. Maybe I was just embarrassed. Or flustered. "I don't know, maybe I was just flustered."

"Well, what happened?" Jay asks me.

"Well, you see after you left Sandra came and we started talking. She asked me what band I was and I was starting to blush. I didn't want to her to see me blush, so I lied saying I had something to do, and ran here." I explained. Now that I think about it, I was just being stupid.

"Sounds like you were just embarrassed." I was starting to recognize the owner of that voice. Her voice wasn't exactly hard to miss... "Why? I wasn't gonna make fun of you. It would be fucked up if I did."

I turned around, of course it was Sandra. "What are you doing here?" I inquire.

"You're parked right next to my band's tour bus." Sandra points to the bus next to us and proceeds to giggle. I saw the big red letters that read 'Modern Day Escape'.

"Oh." I say kinda dumbfounded. "I didn't even know to be honest."

"That's okay." Sandra replies to me and gives me a half smile. "Hey, uh, you wanna meet the guys? uhh again?"

Sandra really did remember me. I gave her a smile. "Sure, I'd love to meet them again."

"Awesome. Awesome." Sandra smiles and we head off to Modern Day Escape's tour bus.

Jay, Steph, and Kaitlynn, wanted to meet them too so they came along, but knowing them they're gonna do something stupid.

"Lunchbox!!!" I hear a rough male voice shout. It was William Wenz they're bassist. "Who's your friend?" Will asks pointing to us all.

"This is the band, Embrace The Broken, they're on Warped Tour too. That's their van outside." Sandra points to our van.

"Oh so that's who the mystery machine belongs too!" Will says.

I laugh. Will was making Scooby-Doo references.

"Hey Sandra" I saw a man, come out of a room from the back of the bus.

"Hey James" Sandra says to the man.

"There's a party at our bus later, hey who are they?" James asks pointing to us.

"Newbies" Sandra simply says.

James nodded his head as if he understood. "Well, you're invited to our party later today man." 

"Hahaha Thanks James!" I thank him.

"I'LL BRING THE BLUNTS!" Kaitlynn shouts.

"Oh my god." I say laughing my ass off.

"Awesome!" Sandra says.

After all the introductions, time flew by and we had to set up for our performance. We say our goodbyes, grab our equipment and set of for the domo stage, where we were to perform. We set up and are surprised by how the big crowd was. It was an amazing sight, very breathtaking! It was a lot bigger than I expected.

"Hey! How are you all today?" I ask the crowd. The crowd responds with roars of excitement and happiness.

"That's good, that's good! Well for those of you who don't know who we are, we are called Embrace The Broken. This first song's called Lost and Found" I tell the crowd in which the crowd responds with roars of excitement.

It was an exciting and wonderful moment being on that stage. However it had to end. I head off stage to see MDE was there.

"Oh hey guys" I see Sandra was staring at me, Jaw dropped.

"Dude, you can fucking sing!" Sandra tells me surprised that I can sing. I am Soprano when I sing, so I can see why she's surprised.

"What did you think I couldn't?"

"No it's just you don't look like a Soprano dude." She informs me.

"I don't?" I inquire.

"No you don't."

"Hey Sandra! We gotta set up." James tells Sandra.

They head to the domo stage, 'Huh' I thought 'I guess they're playing on the same stage as us.'

Time flew by, before I knew it, Modern Day Escape's set had ended and so did the day.

"Hey, time for the party man! We're already late!" Kaitlynn informs me.

"Oh yeah that's right!" I get off my ass and I get ready to show up Fashionably Late.
