Well... Ain't That Something (Sandra Alva)

When we get to the first stop of Warped Tour, we park where all the tour buses park.

"Wow" I whisper in amazement "Can't believe we're actually gonna be on the Warped Tour!"

"Yeah, dude it's a dream come true!" Jay and Steph say in unison.

"You owe me a soda." Jay says first.

"Damn it!" Steph says, in a joyful but also angry way.

I laugh. Pretty hard because of Steph's reaction. I look outside of my window. I was in the front passenger seat, Kaitlynn was driving.

"Hey guys look at that!" I say pointing outside to a tour bus with the big red awesome looking letters that spell out Modern Day Escape. "It's Modern Day Escape's tour bus!"

Just then Sandra and James get off the bus each with a beer in one hand.

(Author's Note: Let's pretend that Modern Day Escape are more well known. Also if you think about this, Marri was 16 when 'New Life' was released and Sandra was 25, so if you do the math, Sandra is 9 years older than Marri. Also one last thing when this takes place, Marri is 22, which means Sandra is 31.)

"Duude! I can't believe we're actually gonna tour with them!" Steph says in disbelief that she's actually gonna tour with her Idols.

"I know right." I reply to her. "I doubt Sandra remembers me though"

"Probably not, you only met like once in the café we worked at when we were 16 Marri, but then again you never know." Kaitlynn tells me in a kind of unsupportive way.

"Yeah." I say as we finally find a parking space. "I guess"

As we get off, Jay and I set off to find the domo stage at Warped.

"Any idea where it is?" I ask Jay.

"Uhh it's usually near merch tents. You should know we've been to Warped Tour before."

"Yeah in Ventura." I reply to Jay, just as we find the domo stage.

"Can't believe we're gonna perform on this side of Warped Tour!" I say in overwhelming excitement.

Jay simply stays quiet. I knew she was in disbelief that her dreams were coming true.

After a while of silence, Jay sets off to call Steph and tell her where the domo stage was, leaving me alone on the domo stage.

"Hey, you must be new if you're on this stage." I hear a kind of hoarse voice behind me. I turn around and see it's Sandra Alva standing there.

"Yeah, w- we're uh new." I stutter out. 'Again with the stuttering' I think to myself. '16 all over again.'

"So what band are you in?" Sandra asks me. "Wait, damn it my voice is hoarse hold on" She drinks her beer.

"Ahh better" She says sounding a lot like herself.

"Embrace The Broken" I reply to her question.

"That's awesome, I'm in Mo-"

I cut her off. "Modern Day Escape, I know. You're Sandra Alva."

"Yeah, I am. You a fan?" she asks me.

"Kinda I guess." I lie. I wasn't really a fan. Maybe cause I didn't really take the time to listen to her drumming skills.

"That's cool, hey, I'm sorry if this sounds creepy, but have we met before? You look oddly familiar..." Sandra asks me in a way where I knew there was a possibility she could of remembered me. I still however doubted it.

"Yeah we have actually, when I was 16 I worked at this café, and you all just walked in. I was kind of freaking out. You guys are my favorite band." I tell her trying not to sound like a fangirl.

"OH HEY I REMEMBER YOU NOW!" She points me and smiles her deadly and corruptive smile. "Wow! Who knew you'd grow up to be a rockstar! That's incredible!"

"Yeah, haha" I laugh looking at her when I remembered that she called me 'cute' especially when I stutter. I can feel the blood rush to my cheeks. I really don't want her to see me blush. I really don't.

"Oh, uh hey I forgot I gotta go do something!" I lie, pointing behind her. I run off saying "Bye" and go to our parked van, heavily out of breath.

"Dude what the fuck happened? Why are you breathing so hard?" Kaitlynn says to me very very concerned.

I struggle to take the words out of my mouth.

"Sandra." I say gasping for air.

"Woah hold on breathe, relax and then tell us about Sandra." Jay says to me obviously very concerned.

"Alva. I just met her. She remembered me." I manage to get the words out.
