In a small town where everybody knows everybody there is nothing to do other than talk about other people's lives; who's going to marry who, who's husband is screwing their secretary, who got arrested, who's pregnant, even if you think you no one knows it's most likely that everyone knows.

It was like that when Y/N started dating the sheriff's son. They were the talk of the town for months. Now three years later they were the talk of the town again only this time no one saw it coming. Everyone thought the Y/N and Stiles where going to get married, have a house full of kids, and live happily ever after; but one petty arugment and some choise words had Stiles starring at the bottom of a bottle and falling into bed with the town princess, Lydia Martin.

Usually Y/N and Stiles never arugued, they were the couple that everyone envied; but when they did aruge it grew fast and soon they would be fully yelling at each other. And this argument had started when Stiles heard gossip around town about Y/N being out with someone else. Now Stiles usually didn't believe the gossip he heard around town, but when the officers who worked with his dad started talking about his girl being unfaithful was when he'd had enough.

"I can't believe you Y/N. We've been together for three years how could you do something like that to me?" That was the first thing Stiles had said to her when he walked in the door that night. At first she had no idea what he was talking about but then he contiued to yell. "Was he the first guy you screwed behind my back? Are there more?"

"Stiles what the hell are you talking about?" Y/N put down the spoon she was using to stir dinner to look at her boyfriend. She could see the anger in his eyes, his tense posture and stiff sholders made him look like a stranger in her boyfriend's body.

"Everyone in town has seen you. So how many guys are you screwing?" Stiles took two steps forward and Y/N took one back. Seeing him like this scared her, he was never like this when they'd argued before, he'd never scared her before.

"I'm not screwing anybody Stiles."

"Now your a liar. A whore and a liar."

"Get out." They both stopped when Y/N said that, Stiles had finally taken a breath but now it did no good. Y/N couldn't stop the tears rolling down her face, she was upset, angry, and betrayed. After they'd been together for three years and this was the first and last time she'd let him accuse her of being unfaithful. "Get out Stiles. If you think I'm a whore then get out. You obviously can't trust me then get out."

They stayed staring at eachother for a minute unitl Stiles finally left.

After Stiles left that night Y/N had been a wreck. She couldn't sleep, she couldn't eat, she couldn't leave the house without getting shouted at or cat called. But now a couple of weeks after Stiles had walked out the door and Y/N was running low on basic necesities; food being the main thing. So biting the bullet she made herself presentable and went to the store.

She was half way though her shoping when she pasted the baby asile. She remembered when her and Stiles talked about one day having a family; a big house, a big yard, and a big family, that was what they wanted with each other and now they didn't even have each other. She tried to quickly walk past the asile when she saw him. He was standing next to Lydia Martin. Y/N had to choke back a sob as she let in sink in; it's barely been three weeks and Stiles had already moved on, but that's not what broke her. When she saw the engagement ring sitting on her finger her heart shattered.

Y/N tried not to let anyone see her crying, she didn't need or want the town talking about her anymore. She was tired of her life being out under a microscope; she was tied of it and this was the final time anyone would talk about her.
