Hannah unlocked the door. The cold wind entered the house. Suddenly the girls heard a bark. Hannah looked back, a dog was standing, looking deep inside Hannah's blue eyes.
"Hey,Bruce!" Meg cried and immediately dropped to her knees and hugged him tightly. " I really missed you, Bruce...my dear. You would have really frozen to death. Come inside."
"No! Mom doesn't allow Bruce to come inside. You know the rules, Meg!" Hannah protested.
"But it's cold outside and-" Meg was interrupted by Hannah.
"Well, That doesn't matters much. The doghouse is much warmer than our garage and whatever. " Hannah wandered and started to scan the lounge. She took off her coat and saw a quick look on Meg's melancholic face. But Hannah moved to the kitchen without saying a word.
"Can't we just-" Meg began but Hannah shook her head adamantly.
"No, his doghouse is plenty warmer. Besides, Mom would have a shit if she will come to know that Bruce was inside. He'll tear up everything. I'm against him too. "
"No, he won't, I'll make sure he stays with me.Please Hannah." pleaded Meg.
Hannah was really rude to her sister. She disregarded her, and started to eat her sandwich. Meg left the kitchen angrily, snatching a sandwich from the plate. She turned on the T.V and started to switch the channels one by one. She stopped on the news channel and went to see Bruce outside. "What a terrific day...Man..." She grumbled
"Close the door, Meg." Hannah shouted from the kitchen. "You are really driving me nuts. You goose!"
Hannah nevered laughed. Hannah was not interested in anything new but Meg was. She was entertaining and helpful but sometimes she made things harder for anyone. Both the sisters were always fighting. They both never came to know that what is love or what sisters meant to each other, they were just busy own there own.
Meg obeyed Hannah and started to watch the news channel. The news reporter said"-escaped early this afternoon from Marland and the person is believed to be heading north."
Hannah wad busy talking to her friend. Meg insisted. "Listen,Hannah!" She ran to Hannah. Meg again said her to listen but Hannah still ignored her. Hannah hung up the phone and headed to the lounge. The newsman continued, "-the murderer is extremely dangerous. If you have any information about this man, so please do inform us on this website-"
For a long time Hannah just sat there, gazing at the TV screen. At last she got up and turned off the TV. She thought of the look on Meg's face when the news channel was turned on.
"One stupid report and you got all hysterical. " Hannah said irritably.
"I'm not hysterical. " Meg's voice sounded very small and stiff. She picked up her books and left the lounge. Hannah was really terrified after hearing that bombshelling news report.
The phone rang again. Hannah picked up the phone.
"Hello. Oh, yeah we were talking about your assignment. Hey, Did you heard the news?" Hannah waited for the reply. No answer. "Hello? " she said breathlessly.
"The news?(laughing) I really wanna kill you, ,girlie. Just pack up or I'll hang you before I let anyone else have you!" the voice hissed.
