"... And that's pretty much all you need to know about using the coffee machine."

I look up at Louis and smile.

I hear the bell on the door chime.

"Oh, it's time to serve your first customer!" Louis says excitedly leading me to the counter.

I look up to find a curly haired boy staring at me. Harry?

"Hi Lucy" He says smiling.

"Harry.." I say feeling a blush run across my cheeks.

"Hey Louis!" he yells to Louis.

"How's it going Harry?" He asks.

"It's great!" Harry replies.

Louis turns away and walks back to the coffee machine, cleaning up a slight mess i had made.

"I didn't know you worked here? I've never seen you here before." He has a curious look in his eyes.

"I.. I just started today." His eyes are dreamy. Mesmerizing even. How can someone even look that good, it must be some sort of weird dream. "You're actually my first customer."

"Really now? well in that case i'll get something simple then. I'll just get a Cappuccino." He says with a cheeky smile building on his cheeks.

"That's £3" is all i can say.

He hands me the money. I put it in the till and turn to make the coffee. I call Louis over to help me.

"I didn't know you knew Harry?" He say to me.

"I.. i don't really, i just met him in English."

"Oh, okay then." He smiles at me.

Once the coffee was done and made, i turned around and handed it to Harry.

"Do you think.. maybe.. i could get your number and ring you sometime?" He asks while scratching the back of his head.

"Me?" I ask surprised.

"Yes you, silly." he replies.

"Oh, um sure." I can feel my cheeks burning again. Did a guy really just ask for my number?!

I write down my number and hand it to him. He just smiles, turns and walks out.

"What was that about?" Louis asks.

"He wanted my number." i say knowing i'm smiling way bigger than i usually would be.

"You know what, telling by that smile on your face, i can tell that someone's got a little crush!" He winks at me.

"Shh you! I only just met the guy"

The rest of my shift seems to fly by. Louis didn't make me serve too many people, which i'm glad about. That register is still all too new to me and still really confusing. So i was mainly Wiping down tables and using the coffee machine all day. Tim comes out of the office and walks over to me making a coffee.

"You know, you're probably one of the fastest learning employees i've had, it took Louis here at least 3 days to get used to that machine!"

The thought of what he just said makes some part of me feel proud of myself on the inside.

"After you've made that you're allowed to go home" He smiles at me and walks back into the office.

I look up at the clock. It reads '6:31pm.' That time definitely flew by really fast. It felt like i'd only started about an hour ago when in reality it had been 3. I finish the coffee and hand it to Louis. I walk back out to the bathroom an get changed, i hang the work shirt up on a hook and walk out o the bathroom door.

"See you soon Louis!" I yell while walking out the door.

"See you later Lucy!" He replies.
