As we walked away from the tavern to another 'surprise from Kaulder', I had my new little deer friend laying on my shoulder. He seemed pretty tired after the whole ordeal. Who knows how long he was in that cage. His captures were already gone before I had a chance to glance back at them. Kaulder must be pretty strong to take on so many large creatures like that.

"He just doesn't seem to want to leave me." I giggled petting the deers soft fur once more.

"I feel the same way little companion." He whispered to the little deer petting him gently with a finger.

"Do you think he has a name?" I asked as I felt most creatures I'd come in contact with I've always given a name.

"Of course. Leu." He spoke as if it was a preposterous question to ask.

"Really?!"

"Right! I keep forgetting about you. That you're just a regular human. I can speak to little creatures like this. They pick up names after long travels, that's the name this one has chose for itself."

"Just a human." I raised an eyebrow not letting him cover that up.

"O-oh uh I mean...well I keep forgetting you're not from here, that you're a human. You just seem to really fit in here I forget you really know nothing about it sorry." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

So is he a human or not? I don't get it. If he wasn't it'd make sense with his ability to take out so many enemy's so fast.

"Then why not tell me more?"

"Of course!" He agreed happily.

I didn't realize it myself but when I looked down at cute sleeping Leu, a yawn had escaped my mouth.

Kaulder snickered quietly staring at me. "First off..." He reached in his pocket and pulled out a dark oak wand with gold glowing lines engraved through it.

He waved it in front of a tree and suddenly the ground beneath us began to rise up into the air.
Like a magical lift? Kaulder has so many tricks up his sleeve, literally. When we reached the canopy the ground stopped moving and Kaulder extended a hand to me as he stepped onto a branch. I took his kind gesture and walked with him carefully, watching my step as if only proven to be clumsy so far. We were really high up actually.

He brushed past vines hanging down in front of us revealing two beds with an open sky view but concealed in the tree. Did he just know this was here?

"This should be safe, and it has a nice view." He pointed out stowing away his strange wand.

So he could use...magic, but who knows what it was in this world. It really only makes sense as strange as this land is.

"This is...random?"

"What is?"

"This was just up here?" I pointed at the beds.

"There's a lot of these in this region. Like a..." He thought on it for a moment, "tree chain of hotels?" He looked to me for conformation.

"I see." I looked back at the beds that looked like they were made from clouds.

We laid down and stared at the stars discussing the world. I'd speak of earth, and he'd speak of this world in great aspiring detail.
