It was my fifth day in this strange world. Nearly a week of being stranded here, but that wasn't so bad. Today Kaulder led me into a cavern. He said it was the only way to get there. Wherever 'there' was. I'm still not entirely sure what we're doing or where our end goal is. Maybe he's just leading me around on some crazy adventure. I would be okay with that, maybe i'll discover more about myself along the way. Surly my memory loss can't last forever.
I lit the way with the crystal in my wand with an illuminated blue light. Leu was bright too, but he just kept hopping along in the air behind us. He wasn't enough light to see ahead even as bright as he is.
I kept tensing up at the slightest of noises in the dark. It didn't help that Kaulder kept laughing at me every time I'd jump. Even if he was discrete about it. What he called 'fear' was one of the biggest human characteristics. Nothing really 'scared' me, it was just when things popped out at you or you were just really paranoid about something...like what's further ahead or behind us. The unknown, the unexpected.
After Kaulder had a good laugh he gently grabbed my hand. I looked at his barely distinguishable grin in the dark. It was reassuring for some reason.
"As long as I am with you, there is nothing to fear." He patted my head, his hand was...so warm.
Just then the light of my wand suddenly went out and I could feel my hand roughly pulled away from his. We were disconnected as I was pulled into the ensuing darkness.
"No...not again. I don't want to be here again." I spoke nervously aloud.
I felt something hard hit my head and the dark seemed to become even worse. When I guess I was finally coming to I could only mumble. My head hurt and my eyes refused to open like I was still half asleep. There was more light now.
"K-Kaulder..." I tried to mutter his name.
Someone knocked me out I guess. Who though?
"Ely...Elysia...Elysia!" The name echoed around me.
He seemed so far away, but so close. Like he was rapidly searching for me. Where was he? Where was I? Why can't I wake up? It suddenly got really warm. This warmth...was similar to that of the warmth of Kaulder's hand, but this radiated outwards.
"Elysia?!" I could hear him call once more.
His voice didn't echo as much this time. He seemed to be in the same room, but his voice boomed this time.
The heat rapidly receded like it was suddenly cut off. Now it was cold and misty. I finally managed to wake myself up after the noise around me got louder and louder. I opened my eyes in 'shock'. Demons like from before stood ahead of me. In the middle of the glowing creatures was Kaulder. They outnumbered him five to one. These creatures seemed stronger then the men from before.
"Let go of me!" He yelled in struggle as one of the men ran over and detained me.
Which in fact wasn't too hard with how out of it I was. It almost seemed a dreamy state, but when he grabbed my arms I knew I wasn't dreaming. They found me again.
"Unhand her!" His positive face i'd known for days became near full rage.
"Okay magical boy, any other commands." One of the men snickered.
"I'm only going to warn you once." His voice was deeper.
"You may have defeated my brothers but young demons like that mean nothing. What's a small guy like you going to do with your magic so weak? You choose to use your powers to protect a weak little human." He poked him in the chest with a huff nodding to the man holding me.
