As soon as we reached the police station, there were other officers who came immediately and took all of us inside. The dealers were locked up, and I was made to sit on a chair opposite to Mr. stranger. He was still looking at me as if I stole his cat. I can understand the look though, he saw me with a gun, it was pretty obvious he was shocked. But his silence was killing me with anticipation. Was he ever going to say anything. I sighed and then looked at him again.

'I'm confused.' he said. After all this time all he has to say is that he is confused. This conversation is definitely going to be long one.

'I know. With what you saw back there, I can understand that you are confused.' I told him.

'You understand?' he raised an eyebrow at me. 'Do you know how I felt back there when I saw you with that gun. I felt dumb, because out of all people I took a drug dealer to my home. I helped someone who ruins others life by getting them addicted to this crap.' he said in a loud voice.

It took some time to sink in what he meant and that's when I realized what he was saying. He thought I was a bloody drug dealer. I helped him catch those criminals and he thinks I'm one of them. Oh he was right about himself though. He was DUMB ! I pushed all the thoughts away and looked at him, he was still blabbering.

'Hey!'  I said but he was still blabbering. 'Hey!' this time I shouted even more. Finally he looked at me and said 'What?'.

'I have absolutely no idea why do you think this but I am not a drug dealer. Okay!' I shouted at me.

'Oh this is the thing people do when they are caught, they deny the crime!' he shot back.

'Look if I was a dealer then why the hell would I call the police. Just think about it.'

'I don't know. May be they are from a rival gang. Or may be you wanted them to get caught, to divert the attention of police so that you could make a bigger deal somewhere else. Actually I think the latter was the case, right?'

'You are imagining things. I am saying this for the last time I am not a dealer.' I shout on top of my voice, he was really irritating me now.

'Stop shouting, will you? things are already not in your favor and this is making it only worse.'

'I don't care about where the things are. I know that I am not a dealer and that is the truth.'

'If that's true then why do you have a gun with you? And why were you in the same place with other dealers?  Care to explain.' he said with authority.

I narrated him the whole story. What I saw? How i followed then out, their conversation and then how called the police to stop them from leaving. After listening to the entire thing he looked up at me with intense eyes and said 'That still does not explains why do you have a gun with you.'

How should I explain this to him. He was already shocked when he saw me with a gun and now if i tell him why I have it then I don't know what he's going to do. Well eventually I do have to tell him the truth and I can not lie here. Because whatever I say go to the police records and when they'll verify this the truth will come out eventually. I was still contemplating with what to say when he spoke again.

'I am still waiting for an answer. Why do you have a gun Destiny?'

'I...I have a gun because....I'm an officer. It's my service gun.' I finally let out.

'You are what?' he looks shocked.

 'You heard it.'

'Yes I did, but you're an officer as in NYPD officer?' he asks.
