'Danielle Ashton!'
Those two words are going to be the last reason I'll be spending the night in a police station. What the heck!
I turned around to see who had decided to use my name against me. And well as soon as I turned I realized how deep I am in this.
'Dad' it kind of escaped from my mouth. What was he doing here? I was about to ask this from him when I was interrupted by Ryan.
'What did you say?' He said looking confused. Oh no, this is going to be bad.
'I want my daughter to be released!' My dad literally barked at him.
'Your daughter? I understand sir but um what did you say her name was?' He asked.
'I didn't knew they had deaf officers in here. Anyways her name is Danielle.'
'Danielle' Ryan repeated. 'And here I thought your name was Destiny.' He continued and looked right at me. Anger flashed through his face and I knew I was in trouble.
'Why would you think that?' Dad said looking at me confused. Oh great! Not only was going be locked up in jail, I was also going to get a very long lecture from my dad.
'Why don't you ask your daughter? I'm sure she would be able to answer this better than me. Right Destiny....oh sorry Danielle!' Ryan said, his eyes not leaving my eyes for a minute. I don't know what he was looking in them but I had to convince him to let me go.
'Danielle what's going on?' Dad asked sternly.
'I'll explain it to you later dad.' I told him and immediately turned towards Ryan without giving my dad and option to retaliate.
'Look I know I lied and this is coming out in worst circumstances ever but would you please trust me this one last time.' I begged him. And tried to make my 'I'm such an ungrateful soul, please have some piety on me' face. It had to work today.
'Ryan please I request you to let Danielle go.' Mason said. This was the first time he said anything after my dad arrived. But I hope this helps.
Ryan looked at me and then at mason and said 'Fine!'
A smile broke on my face. Did I hear it right? Was he finally letting me go? I really was feeling better.
'But you'll come tomorrow with the statement and complete the procedure.' He said.
'I will be here. I promise.' I said quickly. And walked to my dad, ready to leave.
'You're have a lot of explaining to do Danielle.' He said.
'I'll explain everything as soon as we get home. I promise.' Now I had two promise to live up to. Phew! This should not be difficult. Well I hope so.
'Let's leave then.' Dad said.
'I guess I'll see you at the bureau tomorrow, Danielle.' It was mason.
I smiled at him and was about to answer when dad stepped in between. I just hope dad doesn't says anything offensive to mason, who was after all still my boss.
'I'm sorry to inform you but I'm afraid she won't be able to make it.' He said as swiftly as a knife would cut your throat.
'Excuse me?' Mason was definitely confused.
'Your excused!' Dad said and started to walk out of the station.
'What?!' Mason was astonished by my dad I'm sure.
As soon as dad left I turned to mason who was by the looks of it was definitely not happy.
'I need an explanation.' He said.
