Chapter 17: Love or Leave?

Shino's POV

I woke up from a deep slumber. I slowly opened my eyes to see the white ceiling.

I heard soft snoring from my side. I glance at the person and saw [Your Name] sleeping beside me but she was sitting on the floor.

I tried to sit but it only awakened her.

"Nice going, Shino." I thought as I prepared for what she has to say.

"Sh-Shino? Are you alright? How're you feeling? Does it hurt anywhere?" She instantly bombarded me with so much questions. I can't help it. I giggled.

"I am fine. Don't worry. I was just making sure you feel comfortable with your position a while ago." I said with a wide smile.

Her cheeks were as red as a tomato when I said that. It made me want to kiss her cute face.

"I-I am... fine. D-Don't worry." She said and looked away.

"Thank you." I said out of the blue.

"For what?" She cocked her head to the side.

"For staying with me the whole time. I really... appreciate it." I said with a smile while blood rushed to my cheeks.

"No problem. I just really wanted to repay the debt I had." She said. My smile faded.

"Only to repay... me for saving... her life? Was she serious?" I thought as I looked away.

"But thank you, Shino. Thanks for saving my life. If there's anything you want, just tell me." She said with a smile.

"Y-You're... welcome and... there's nothing I want more." I said with a fake smile.

"All this time, I thought she sees me more than just a friend but... I guess, I was wrong." I thought.

"Shino." She called.

I looked at her with a forced smile. I tried to look happy and I guess, it worked. Not only she was smiling but also, she was... blushing?

"Sh-Shino. I..." She trailed off. Leaving me hanging.

"Just tell it, [Your Name]." I bit my lower lip.

"I can't say the words. Damn it!" She held my hand and in an instant, she kissed me.

My eyes went wide with what she just did.

3rd Person's POV

"I can tell that Shino was disappointed when I told him that it was only a debt. I have to do something and fast." You thought as you stared at Shino.

The first thing that came to your mind is kissing him but you erased the thought and just decide to thank him but it made the situation worse.

He smiled but it wasn't the same smile that he would always give you.

You bit your lower lip and smiled with a blush. You had nothing else in mind so you thought of kissing him and this time, for real.

You stuttered at first but when no words came from your mouth, you just kissed his lips from out of the blue.
