Chapter 31: Back Again???

Shino's POV

I checked her pulse and was relieved that it was still beating. I was a bit nervous when I came. I hugged her tightly and whispered words in her ear.

"Shino. Let's take her back to the Mansion, shall we?" Sosuke said and I slowly looked up at him.

He was smiling a bit and I nodded as an answer.

Genpachi carried her bridal style. I was still a bit worried and right now, I am very curious to what really happened to her.

"She'll be fine, Shino. Don't worry too much." Shinobu smiled and I smiled at him too.

"She will be fine. It's [Your Name]. She can fight anything."

We were walking our way back to the city and its a good thing that [Your Name] already changed back to her human form.

I smiled a bit and continued walking.

Genpachi's POV

She isn't heavy. She weighs like a pillow. She's so light. Is this girl still even eating?

"How is she?" Dousetu asked.

"She seems fine. Although, she's still unconscious." I replied and thought that maybe she'll wake up once we arrived in the Mansion.

"I'll check her up later when we get to the Mansion." Dousetsu said again and I just nodded.

I held her tightly. I can feel her small figure but she really has nice curves. I half-smiled.

"Why am I even thinking about things like that? It's the first time that I thought about things like that again."

I took a glance at the guys and saw that they still had a long face. I can't hide the fact that [Your Name] was really injured badly. I could feel it.

I kept my gaze on the road because I really can't wait to bring her home. She's important to me. To us. We can't lose her.

When we arrived at the Mansion, Dousetsu hurriedly opened the door and went upstairs.

I brought [Your Name] to her room and laid her on her bed. We waited for Dousetsu.

"Let me treat her wounds and check her up." He said once he entered the room and we all nodded.

Once he got the answer, he went up beside her and did his job.

As I watched from afar, I could tell that she had a hard time before we could've even arrive.

"Was she fighting? Or did she get in trouble?"

My thoughts were filled. I didn't know what to do when we were back on the forest. She was laying beside the waterfall where she could almost fall.

"Shino. Are you alright?" Kobungo asked. I looked at them.

"Y-Yes. I-I was j-just worried. That's all." He said and looked back at [Your Name]'s unconscious figure.

"I wonder what bothers Shino a lot."

"I think it's best for you to rest and go to bed, Shino." Sosuke suggested but Shino shook his head no.

"I can't leave her this way, Sosuke. She means a lot to me. I won't leave her side until she wakes up." Shino said and sat on the edge of [Your Name]'s bed.

"She isn't that injured but we could just say that she was very tired that made her lose consciousness." Dousetsu said and Satomi nodded in understanding.

"You guys go out for a meanwhile. I will be changing [Your Name]'s clothes." Hamaji said and we did as told.

While we gathered in the spare room, we stayed in complete silence. Satomi went back to his office to do some paperwork and Kaname went back to his room to rest.

"Why are you so silent, Shino? Are you really fine?" Keno asked. Shino nodded.

"I'm just really worried, you know? I never want the past to happen again." He said and looked at Sosuke.

"We survived, Shino and so does [Your Name]." Was all that Sosuke said.

"Past? The incident on your village?" I asked and Sosuke nodded.

That was their tragic past. Almost all of them died that time. Good thing that they survived.

"Demons like her can heal faster than us." Dousetsu said. We looked at him.

"What do you mean? Is she immortal then?" Shinobu asked and Dousetsu shook his head no.

"Then... what do you mean?" Daikaku asked this time.

"What I mean is she could recover fast whenever she gets into a hard fight or whatsoever but she couldn't live that long." He explained.

"Wh-Why?" Shino was in shock.

"She could die in many ways but the things that can kill her fast is that if someone injects poison on her or if her inner demon eats her up from the inside." I was struck by what he said and I bet that the others felt the same.

"It couldn't be real. She couldn't die that way. She... She... She would painfully die in that way."

My ears couldn't sink in the words that Dousetsu said.

"Those... Those ways are too painful for her. Isn't there any way to stop her from dying that way?" Shino asked.

"Yes. The only way is to love someone who will love her back more than she could give. In easy terms, she has to get married and so on." My eyes widened.

"Wh-What?!?! Why?!" Keno asked with cheeks flushed red.

"Because its the only thing that could make her inner demon live in peace." I closed my eyes and tried to sink in the words that he said.

"Lies. It wouldn't happen. None of that will happen."

"Is that true?" Shinobu asked.

"Yes. I researched on it." I sweatdropped.

This guy is scaring the shit out of me because of his weirdness.

"In that way... she would... die in a painful way, Dousetsu." Sosuke said.

"Yes. She would but I doubt that it will happen." Dousetsu said with a smirk.

"I know where you're going at, Dou." Keno said, smirking too.

"Oh? Wanna bet?" He asked Keno.

Keno just smirked wider. I actually know what they wanted and plan to happen but that wouldn't stop me for fighting for my feelings.

Silence filled the room. There was a huge tension forming inside but...

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" We all laughed.

"Who would've thought that all of us would feel the same for her?" Shino said and let out another laugh.

"Yeah. That was so crazy." Shinobu replied.

It's a nice laugh with friends. We are all worried about her but we have to be strong for her. We believe in her no matter the situation.

If only she could see us now, I bet she would be so happy.

"Wake up, [Your Name]. We'll be waiting now that you're back again."
