Chapter 3: Pussycat
Song: Angel With A Shotgun by
The Cab

"Hey Colton."

He groans as he turns around to see a girl with brown hair with a flannel wrapped around her waist smiling up at him. "So I was thinking maybe this Fri..." His mind wonders off when he sees Winnie and Weston walking past him holding hands, looking as happy as ever.

Colton Bouchard is the type of guy you read in books and see in movies. Attractive, nice, dreamy and just perfect in a girl's eyes. The 'it' guy. Or maybe in Stiles Stilinski's words, he's like the hot girl every guy wants, though that's really just a perfect description for Shakira but that's a different story. The female population of course notices this and almost all of them have at least tried once to make a move.

Though being popular with the female crowd, he never seems to be paying attention to any of them, romantically that is. He's just too much of a gentleman to ignore them entirely. No one gets why he'd discard all the attention and hang out with the weirdest group of people you could find. He could've lived like royalty amongst the 'cool kids' whatever that means. Guess that makes up for a reason they hate them.

Reason #6: Prince Charming is one of them

Needless to say, it's hard being a male in Bayshore High. Your girlfriend wants Colton, your sister wants Colton, your mom wants Colton and you kinda want Colton too.

The girl he pays attention to the most out of anyone, (besides his mom, he loves her because she feeds him) is his childhood and still best friend, Winnie Wells.

They met at third grade, when she gave a boy a card for Valentine's Day. The boy slapped it away not because of cooties or girls are gross, but because she was the only one who made a handmade card instead of giving gifts or at least buying something like it's christmas or some shit. That gained the attention of everyone including 8 year old Colton. He went over and told the boy it wasn't nice to do that to a girl, and picked up the card from the floor. The boy just shrugged and left. He remembered seeing her smile when he handed her the card which surprised him. He thought she would cry, like any other third grader girl would, or at the very least look sad. But she didn't. Instead, she thanked him and when he asked if she was okay, she smiled wider and said that she was fine and dandy. Then she started to go on about how since the boy didn't take the card, she can cut out the drawings and patterns from them and make a different craft. Colton offered to help and they ended up making a giant butterfly and gave it to the teacher.

Since then, they've spent every weekend together riding bikes or playing at their backyards- until they grew up that is. They'd go to concerts and shows together, became each other's wingmen or just hang around with their families. Then they met the others.

Winnie is a person full of joy. She never seems to let anything negative get in her way. Like that one time in 8th grade some kid pushed her into the school fountain purposely but instead of getting sad or angry she simply laughs about how she looks Darla from Finding Nemo when she got water squirted at her face. Some people find it annoying, but Colton finds it remarkable. Winnie always manages to see the good in bad, see the rainbow in the storm.

She means everything to him, and he wouldn't let a scratch land on her skin. Hence, he doesn't like Weston. Exhibit A, every single girl he had broken up with either moved away or ended up alone and depressed, literally. Not even exaggerated. Exhibit B, he hates all her friends, as in the whole group including Colton. Exhibit C, he's just an asshole. If he were to ever hurt her, Colton would make sure he'll forget what it feels to live.
