The girls had just finished washing the dishes and were getting ready to sleep
"Estine, can you please sit down. There is something I want to talk to you about"
"What is it Michele?" Estine asked irritated
"Why do you dislike me so much. Why do you keep telling all these lies against me, what have I done to you?"
"Is that why you stopped me?" Estine said standing up. "Michele please I want to go to sleep"
"Estine look, you're my only sister and I love you. Estine out of all things I really wish we could be friends. Not just sisters, but also good friends" Estine scoffed
"Friends? Are you tired of being friends with the girls at school huh? By the way how can we be friends, when everywhere we go you are the one they notice"
"You're the one they will call the fine girl, you are the one that comes first and I only manage to pass by. What sort of friendship do you want huh? Listen Michele you and I are not on the same level. So leave me alone to do what I want to do"
"Estine is that your problem. Are you jealous of me? For God sakes I'm your sister and you are jealous of me" Michele said sadly. "Oh I see, that's why you will do anything to spoil my reputation"
"Me jealous of you, why would I be jealous of you?" Estine said scoffing. Are you better than I am?"
"Of course I am"
"Just because all the guys notice you? Wait till I get my own boyfriend, that day you will know me. Besides the only reason you're light skinned is because Brian gives you money to bleach your skin"
Michele had enough of Estine running her mouth. She stood up and slapped her across the face.
"Mommy!" Estine yelled struggling to push Michele off of her
"Michele what is going on here!?" Evelyn asked busting through the door
"She just started fighting me for telling you about what happened this afternoon" Estine said whimpering
"Mom-" Michele said being interrupted by Evelyn
"Michele you are now ground for two months. I really thought you would be have but now you're fighting with your sister" Evelyn said shaking her head while closing the door
"Bingo" Estine said smirking
"You are such a bitch" Michele mumbled getting in bed
"I know. Night best friend" Estine said switching off the light
That night Michele cried herself to sleep
