Amelie’s P.O.V.
I woke up to an empty bed. Demi was at the X Factor studios all day and I had plans. It had been a week since my hip had started hurting, and it had been sore on and off ever since. I hadn’t told Demi. She was so worried the first time it happened and I didn’t want her to worry too much so I was going to get it checked out without her. I had an hour to get there and I spent the whole time I was getting ready checking the time constantly, somehow wishing I could skip the next few hours of my life until I didn’t have to worry anymore. The drive to the doctors clinic consisted of me chewing on my lip and biting my fingernails. I got there 10 minutes too early and sat in the waiting room for 15, waiting for the doctor to call my name.
“Amelie Roberts?” The receptionist called my name finally and I stood up, the dread seeping through me instantly. “The doctor will see you in Room 3.”
*That Night*
Demi’s P.O.V.
Amelie had been moody for the last week. The pregnancy was screwing with her hormones and she’d had morning sickness every day without fail. It was getting dark outside and I figured I should be getting home. I sang along to the radio the whole way home, a habit I’d forgotten I had. When I opened the door to our house, Amelie was lying on the couch with crutches beside her.
“Holy shit what have you done?” I hurried over to her, she rolled her eyes.
“It’s nothing too bad. The doctor thinks I may have a minor fracture to my hip bone. They can’t cast it because it’s my hip. So they gave me a leg and partial back splint,” She pulled back the blanket she was under to reveal her whole leg was in a plastic frame that extended partially up her back, “and they told me not to walk on it as much as possible for six weeks.”
“That’s not nothing Amelie.” I sighed, she tried so hard to downplay everything. Probably so I didn’t worry, but knowing that she downplayed everything made me worry all the more. “Well, did they X-Ray?”
“They can’t because I’m pregnant. It could damage the babies organs.” She sighed, cradling my face in her hands, “Don’t worry, please.”
“Babe, I can’t not worry when you try to downplay everything.” I told her truthfully.
“I’m sorry Demi. I don’t want you to worry.” She looked away, her lip was quivering slightly.
“Don’t apologize. But you have to be completely honest with me about everything from now on, OK?” I didn’t wait for her reply and leaned down, my hair fell around her face, creating our own world where it was just our faces and I kissed her.
A/N: I actually had quite bad writers block when writing this :/ Hope it turned out alright... I'll update again later today once I've watched the glee episode for the 50th time ;) :D
