Royalty : Chapter Eight

We walked over to the gate where we had entered the night before.
"Ahh Yasashi you've finally made it!" A gaurd exclaimed. "follow me the boss is waiting."
We followed the gaurd into a room inside the wall. Inside there was a couple more heavily armed guards. In the center of the room there was a small table with three chairs.
"Welcome ladies." Said one of the guards who seemed to be the leader. "I am Warui Yatsu. You may call me Sir Yatsu. Please sit down."
Kyashidi and I sat down. Yasashi stood behind me and Shurui stood behind Kyashidi.
"So would one of you ladies like to tell me what your doing in the kingdom of Risa?" Sir Yatsu questioned.
Kyashidi looked over at me and nodded, telling me it was my turn to talk.
"Well you see we are from the kingdom of Illrya and we left in search of a new residence due to the crule and unfair law system." I said hoping it sounded believable.
"Well I have heard rumors of the bad law in Illrya." Sir Yatsu began. "well the where are you two going to stay and due to our kingdom being poor what will you do to earn your keep?"
"I am very good in the medical field." Said kyashidi.
"I could help with baking or collecting food." I said.
"And for the time being they can stay with us!" Shurui interrupted.
"Okay then." Sir Yatsu said suspiciously.
We signed a couple of papers saying that we were now part of the Risa kingdom. Then we followed Yasashi and Shurui to the market place so we could get ourselves a job and some more appropriate clothing for the new world. First we stopped in at the only clothing store we could afford. I got a simple brown T-shirt and some lose pants. Kyashidi got the same sort of thing but she picked up a leather strap that went diagonally across her chest and back. Then we split ways. Kyashidi went with Shurui to the hospital where Shurui worked and I went with Yasashi to the local bakery.
"So Rebekkah, what do you think of this place?" Yasashi asked.
"Its nice, but kind of scary with all the monsters and stuff." I replied.
"You'll get used to the monsters eventually. Maybe you'll even learn to kill a couple!"
"Yea maybe!"
We arrived at the bakery around noon. Yasashi introduced me to the shop owner. He said that I would start first thing tomorrow. Then we headed back to Yasashi's house to meet up with Kyashidi and Shurui.
