"Faye."

"Faye."

"Faye!"

I groaned while rolling over on the bed so my stomach is on the soft mattress.

I lazily opened my eyes and peered up, lifting my head up off the pillows.

"What do you want Ethan?" I mumbled slowly, closing my eyes again and laying my head back down.

"I need to talk to you."

"About?"

"I heard noises last night, Faye, coming from your room."

My eyes shot open. "What?"

Ethan is like my older brother, really older. He's 512 years old and I'm 375 years old. But I'm "19" to humans. I've been living with him for about 200 years. He took me in to live with him when I lost my parents...that night.

He was very close friends with my parents. We're pretty close too, he's cool and funny, but he's always on my case about how I act and what I do with men, particularly humans. He gets on my nerves constantly but I love him to death.

"Yeah, so I came into your room to see what's up-"

My eyes widened. Shit. He saw me. I must have not heard him coming. Damn us vampires and our perfected sneaking skills.

"-and I saw you basically humping then sucking the life out of a random boy." He crosses his arms over his very toned chest.

"You know I get bored," I muttered after lifting my upper body off of the bed.

"Ok well what do you want to do then!?" he raises his voice. "Go hunting?"

"That's how I hunt," I stated clearly, looking him straight in the eyes.

He sighed. "Faye, I understand but this has happened way too many times, literally over a hundred times you've done this."

"Is that a problem?" I snapped. I'm beginning to grow annoyed with this conversation.

"Yes, it is."

"Why? I do what I have to do and I enjoy it. This is how I am, you can't stop me."

He rolled his eyes. "Suit yourself. By the way, I have some news."

My eyebrows frowned in confusion. "Huh?"

He smirked. "You're starting high school tomorrow morning, good luck."

He started walking away but I ran in front of him in vampire speed causing him to hault.

"What the hell do you mean, " I say through clenched teeth. I'm trying to keep my cool. Me in school? I scoffed mentally. How about no.

He shrugged like it was no big deal. "Yeah, I enrolled you just this morning to Blue Mill High School." He added a smirk.

Oh how I just wanted to slap that smirk right off his face. But he's a much more powerful vampire then me. Although I'm a very powerful vampire to the point that almost every vampire fears me, hes much older than me so that automatically makes him more powerful.

"And why would you do that?" I asked, my teeth still clenched.

"I thought it would be a good way to have you take a break from your normal rountine. You know, clubbing, drinking, then sleeping with a guy just to kill him afterward."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not going."

"If you don't then I would just have to lock you up in the basement for the next fifty years."

I looked for any sign of him joking, but there was none. He means it.

"Why are you doing this to me? School is filled with a bunch of stuck up fuckers that think they're perfect and with a whole wide range of douche bags." I whined.

"Cry about it," he said with an amused expression. "But seriously I think this will be a great change for you."

"I don't like change." I suffered from a huge one 200 years ago.

"Like I said, cry about it. School starts at 7:05 so get your ass up bright and early."

I groaned loudly and let out a deep breath. "Whatever."

I brushed past him, making sure to bump into the side of his body with my shoulder, and trudged back to my room.

I grabbed a cigarette out of one of my many packs and then snatched the lighter next to it on my dresser.

I slid out the backdoor and laid down on the beige hammock attached to two trees out in the backyard.

I lit the cigarette and brought it up to my dry lips. I took a breath then led the cigarette out, taking a deep breath out, smoke flowing from my parted lips.

I sighed after repeating the process a couple of times, feeling light headed but free.

I smoke when I'm frustrated or when I don't want to think.

This is exactly what I need right now.

I'll worry about school tomorrow.
