Ethan came home a couple hours later with blood smeared across his mouth, and squirted across his t shirt.

I walked towards him with my eyebrows raised in question.

"Hunting." he simply answered.

It's very rare that Ethan actually goes out hunting. He usually drinks from blood bags that we steal from the hospital a little ways from here. We keep them stored in our fridge in the kitchen.

I nodded slowly, following his footsteps to the kitchen.

"How was school?" he asked while wetting a napkin and wiping his mouth with it.

"Um," I thought. "It was decent, kind of."

"Did you make friends?"

I nodded.

"Enemies?"

I nodded again.

He rolled his eyes. "Leave it to Faye to make an enemy her first day of school."

"So why did you go hunting?" I leaned against the doorway of the kitchen, crossing my arms loosely across my chest.

He removed his shirt off his body and threw it across the room. "I needed blood right from the vein, I was getting sick of the bags."

"Oh," I spoke with an understanding tone.

Blood is always the best from the source, the human.

"So who's your enemy at school?" he changed the subject, passing me through the doorway and heading to his room.

I trailed right behind him. "A werewolf. They're so fucking annoying, and nosy. Always sticking their snouts into people's business." I rolled my eyes thinking about them.

"Did you guys fight?"

"Almost. I was so close to ripping her head off. She called me a bitch! Ugh, the nerve of those people," I muttered.

He laughed. "What stopped you?"

"Thomas pulled me off of her," I started shaking my head but smiled thinking about my friend. "That damn boy."

"Who's Thomas?" he questioned.

"A vampire. He's one of my friends."

"Who are your other friends?"

"How many questions are you going to ask me?" I laughed. "I have another one. Her name is Alice. Another vampire."

"You should invite them here, I would love to meet them," he said.

I thought about it for a minute. "Maybe."

"Why don't you make friends with some humans?"

"Because they're annoying too."

"You probably didn't even talked to one."

He was right, I didn't. But I have, and I've heard some of them talking in the hallways. They're always whining and shit.

"Well I'm going to go out tonight," I said.

"Where?"

"A party," I simply responded then left quickly to get ready for a party I got invited to at school today by a guy named Chase.

I pulled up to a large house a couple of hours later in my car. There were many people standing around on the grass, talking, making out, and drinking from red plastic cups held in their hands.
