(A/N In case you didn't know, Thomas is the guy Faye woke up next to in the chapter "Be Careful")
The sound of the bell saved me from listening to my English teacher lecture about something I don't give a shit about.
I hurried off down the hall, in search of the lunch room.
I don't even know where the lunch room is, I really need a map of the school. This school is huge, it's like a maze.
While walking, I noticed someone join me, walking right next to me. I crinkled my nose, werewolf.
"Hey, do you need help finding the cafeteria?"
"I can find it myself," I snapped.
"No need to be rude, you're new here so I'm trying to assist you." she spoke, looking at me intently.
"I don't need help, I already told you I can find it myself. So leave me alone."
"You don't have to be a bitch about it," she muttered, rolling her eyes.
I pinned her up against the lockers in less than a second, my arm under her chin, pressing against her throat.
My eyes turned into a dark red while hers transformed into a magnificant gold.
"Listen, I don't like you guys. Why would I want some fucking help from you!?" I exclaimed.
"We don't like you guys either. I'm just trying to be nice, you don't have to be some stuck up bitch, like seriously," she said.
My fangs extended out of my mouth and she started growling at me. "Maybe I wouldn't have to be a bitch if you didn't mind your own damn business."
I noticed a crowd started forming around us in a circle.
This girl just wants me to kill her.
"Seriously? Get over yourself! And get the fuck off me you physcotic bitch!" she yelled.
"Listen here you little-"
I suddenly felt myself being pulled back by someone and my eyes switched back to it's peircing blue.
I turned around to find Thomas holding me with a suprised look etched onto his features.
I moved out of his grip and turned back around but the girl was gone.
I scoffed. "Coward."
The crowd started to disperse while Thomas led me through the halls.
"Faye, what the hell? Already getting in fights your first day," he started shaking his head.
"That bitch was just begging me to rip her to shreds!" I exclaimed, annoyed.
"That was Amber, the only werewolf we actually get along with in this school."
"I don't fucking care who she is!"
"Faye, calm down. I swear you have like anger problems or something."
I rolled my eyes but didn't respond. I do have a bit of a temper.
I followed him into the double doors of the cafeteria. I looked around and noticed that there was way too many people in this small room. Well, it wasn't that small, but it wasn't exactly big either.
I noticed a very long line in the front of the room where miserable lunch ladies were serving hungry students.
Thomas grabbed my arm and dragged me towards the long ass line.
I yanked my arm away from him. "You guys have to wait this long to get food?!"
He nodded, studying my face.
"That's bullshit. Just compel the humans to leave the line." I suggested, pursing my lips into a line.
"We can't. The principal put vervain in each of their ID's so we can't compel them. And they wear it on them so.." he explained.
I groaned loudly. "That's rediculous."
He nodded in agreement.
"Well I packed my own lunch so.." I trailed off. "Who could I sit with?"
"Well I'm kind of the only person you know so I suggest you stick with me."
"But I don't want to wait here," I whined.
"To be honest, most of the vampires here are really stuck up." he says. "Well..there's Alice."
He leaned over and scanned the cafeteria, looking for Alice I guess.
"She's over there like in the back," he tries to explain. "She's the one with brown hair."
"Well that narrows it down a lot," I spoke sarcastically.
He rolled his eyes and did something that caused many faces to look at Thomas before turning back to their friends and resuming conversation.
"Alice!" he screamed across the room.
Turning around, I looked toward the direction he was looking at.
I saw a petite girl stand up and look at Thomas, eyebrows frowned. She quickly rushed over towards us.
Once she stood next to Thomas I got a more clear view of her appearance. She had really short brown hair cut into a bob that framed her face nicely. She was pretty short, only up to my shoulders. Or maybe I'm just too tall. I am 6'1.
Thomas decided to introduce us to eachother. "Alice, this is Faye. She's a new vampire here. Faye, Alice. She's one of the few vampires that are actually nice and cool here."
"I've heard of you," she smiled, showing her perfect white teeth. "You almost kicked Amber's ass today. Nice to finally meet you."
I revealed a small smile. "You too."
"Well let's go sit down, Faye."
She quickly hugged Thomas goodbye and led me back to the table she was previously sitting at.
------------
Once I arrived home, I noticed that Ethan wasn't here.
When I entered my room, I dropped right onto my bed, exhausted.
I got to learn a lot about Alice. She's actually really cool and funny, and extrememly nice. She actually made me laugh which is something I haven't done in years. She's genuinely nice and always happy and it makes me feel more alive when I'm around her, and happy.
I got to know that we have most of our classes together. She's a 246 year old vampire, a junior in school. Just a little younger than me. She lives with her dad only and a younger sister since her mom died. She loves the color blue, while I love the color black. We actually have a lot in common.
Just then, I noticed something. I really don't have any friends. I haven't since before my parents died. I usually isolate myself from the world and take care of myself. Now that I think about, it's quite sad.
Until now.
I have friends now.
Alice and Thomas.
