After breakfast, Dipper and Mabel decide to take me exploring through the woods. After what they tell me, it seems as if the forest is more than what they make it out to be, but I refuse to believe in magical gnomes until I see it for myself.
Dipper grabs a bag of supplies, and we head out with ease. I make sure that my hoodie is on, just to be sure, because Bill refuses to leave my thoughts alone. Throughout the whole time we walk, he makes confusing comments that make absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.

I can't believe that Pine Tree grew up to get this handsome! And the Shooting Star's quite the looker, too, now that I think about it.

PLEASE JUST STOP WITH THE STARS AND THE TREES, BECAUSE I REALLY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE REFERRING TO. I scream mentally. He keeps going on and on about how 'things have changed', but I have no clue as to what he is talking about.

"Y/N! Come look!" I hear Mabel shout from ahead, snapping me out of my conversation.

"I'll be right there!" I holler back, jogging up to their spot. Just below the hill stand a bunch of... mushrooms? Around them are small moving figures with pointy hats. They're living, breathing, very real...

"...gnomes...?" I gasp smally. My mind feels as if it's going to explode. I stand there in confusion for a moment, watching them move. This can't be real. I feel funny.

"NOW do you believe us, y/n?" Dipper teases playfully.

"I-I don't- how???" I start to get a bit dizzy.

"Because it's Gravity Falls!" Mabel chimes in.

"But... but... gnomes aren't real." I stammer. My steps begin to waver.

So you don't believe in gnomes, but you believe in a dorito demon? Bill says snarkily.

THIS MOMENT DOES NOT CONCERN YOU, BILL. I reply angrily. His chuckles echo through my mind. I put a hand to my hot head.

"Would you like to meet them?" Mabel asks.

"I-I uh... think I... I need some water." I say monotonously. I fall to the ground, blackness filling my vision.

"OH GOD ARE YOU OKAY??? HOLY SHI-" I hear dipper begin to panic, but my consciousness doesn't hang on long enough to witness the full thing.

"I'm guessing that this is where my dreams take place from now on?" I ask, gesturing to the room around me.

"Well, it could actually be any where you wanted. Or where I wanted, because you decided to share your mind with a demon. But this is where your subconscious put me when I entered here, so I just left it as it was." I nod, sitting down on my bed. Bill floats over to me and sits beside my slumped figure. I scooch away, but he just draws nearer, causing my eye to twitch in irritation.

"It does seem like a place my mind make up for me..." I say, letting a snowflake melt on my soft hand.

"Well, you do have a pretty interesting mind, y/n." be says, the permanent smile still plastered on his smug face.

"How do you know that?" I snap, suddenly hyper-self-conscious about the openess of my mind. The brain is the one place a person can have privacy over any thought they have, but now it's so... exposed. He laughs, leaning closer to my face.

"Because I love to explore places, y/n, and where else could I explore? If it makes you feel any better, I find this place quite enthralling. Far better than... Stan" He admits, shivering at the thought. I frown.

"You've been into Stan's mind before?"

"Not as far as you're concerned, my love."

"Did you seriously just say my love???" I say in a high tone. He laughs, kissing my forehead. I blush furiously, but still don't say anything.

"Really, though," I say, speaking up after a long pause, "what do you know that I don't? I mean, you keep saying how familiar this place is, and you act far too familiar with Dipper and Mabel and Stan. Could you please just tell me what's going on?"

"Nope."

"Why not?"

"Because some things are best kept. Secret, y/n." He teases, twirling a piece of my hair inbetween his slender fingers. "And besides, it seems that you're beginning to wake up."

~~~
When my eyes flutter open, I see both Dipper and Mabel peering over my face. They laid the large chair in the living room down like a bed, and put a large blanket over my sleeping form. I blink witb grogginess.
"Wha... what happened?" I question.
"You uh, passed out." Dipper says.
"Yeah! And Dipper had to carry you all the way back here, and the whole time he had this really big blush, and I had to apologize to gnomes because you couldn't be their queen, and Dipper yelled at them all because they tried to buy you with skittles, an-"
"MABEL, WE DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THE DETAILS." Dipper half-shouts.
"But brother, you were being so HEROIC!" She taunts, lightly punching his arm.
I wouldn't use the word heroic, but that's just my opinion. Bill chimes in my head.
"What time is it?" I ask, looking out the window.
"Around two. We're leaving for Greasy's at around five, then heading to the mini-golf course." Dipper informs, resulting in a raised fist from Mabel.
"And I will kick all of your butts!" She cheers.
"I am quite sure we are all aware of that," Dipper replies with an eyeroll.
If you like, I can help you beat her, of course.
The deal was quite specific in not letting you control my body at all, if I remember correctly. And besides, cheating is so childish. I reply snarkily. He stays quiet as we continue the conversation.
"Are you good at golf, or something?" I ask curiously.
"Yep! I am the CHAMPION at put-put." She replies joyously.
"I hope that I can try to beat that," Dipper just laughs, and Mabel holds her hand out. "You wanna bet on it?"
"What're we betting?" I ask, holding my hand out before she can tell me. She grabs it, shaking it with more enthusiasm than I previously called for.
"How about... if I win, we get to dress Dipper up as a girl... and if you win, we dress up waddles as a girl!" A spur of uncontained laughter bubbles out of my mouth, and Dipper's face turns to a pale shade of terror.
"Mabel! You can't put me in a bet without even asking me first!" She giggles.
"Don't worry, Dip. I am SURE y/n will EASILY beat me!" He looks over to me, and sees me keeled over in undying chuckles. I hear him gulp.
"I'm not so sure about that..." he replies.
