"Wait.. I start tomorrow?" I shockingly ask.
"Well that is what I said, right?" Mom says with a witty smile.
"Well yeah but I thought that I would have more days to ya know, hang out with my friends for a while.." I say, drifting off into a soft whisper.
"Honey you don't have friends in that school. They're all betrayers and will all forget about you once you leave." Mom says. I suddenly start to feel anger rise up inside of me. How can she just say that? I've known those people ever since I was in elementary school. They will not forget about me, or atleast I hope so..
"Okay." I dully say.
"Well get some rest, you need it." Mom says and walks towards my room door. She looks back at me with a reassuring smile.
"Can I trust you?" She softly asks.
"With what?"
"Are you going to stay inside this room and not move from here? Or do I have to take guard." Mom says and cocks one eyebrow up.
"You can trust me mom, I'm almost an adult." I say with a small smile.
"Alright, goodnight and set your alarm clock."
"Okay." I say, and with that, mom disappears from my sight. I heavily sigh and I quickly stand up from my bed. I run towards my door and I securely lock it. I walk towards my mirror and I stand in front of it. I let my dark, brown hair flow down my back. I grab my phone and I walk towards my window. I quietly open it, and I let one leg linger over. I slowly place my leg on the roof of the first floor, until I put both of my legs on top. Once I'm out, I close the window without a lock and I walk towards the side of the roof. Since the house was so high up, I slowly sit down on the edge of the roof and I place my feet on the closest object, until I securely made it on the ground. I look back at my house in accomplishment, happy that I'm out of that jail. I walk towards the sidewalk and I take a look at Jason's house, which was completely dark, indicating that everyone there was asleep.
"Hmm.. Weird." I whisper to myself, but I shrug it off. I begin to walk down the sidewalk, just letting the air blow through my hair.
I needed this so much
I just love how whenever I walk for just a little, I let go of everything that's bothering me. It's like a weight being lifted off of my shoulders. It's a time where I can be alone and not have to listen to what anyone has to say, or about anyone's opinion about me. It's a time where I can actually use my mind to think for myself for once in my life.
Just as I keep walking and walking, I reach a small park by the corner of my house. The park was almost always empty, or atleast at 12' am.
"Finally." I mumble to myself as I walk towards a pair of swings. I sit down on one, as I begin to rock myself back & forth. I close my eyes as I just let the swing, swing by itself. I let out a long gush of air, then inhaling the fresh air being given to me.
"Relaxing, huh." I suddenly hear from next to me.
What the fuck.
I quickly open my eyes & I look next to me, as I spot a figure sitting down as well on one of the swings.
"Oh my." I say as I hold my heart.
"I didn't see you there." I say as I try to regulate my breathing.
The figure laughs, and shrugs his shoulders.
"It's alright. It's dark anyways so I don't expect you to." He says, and looks down at the ground.
"Well one thing that I can clarify is that you're a guy." I say with a soft smile.
"Well, yeah." He says and smiles back.
"Why you here?" The guy asks.
"Trying to initiate conversation I see.."
"Well, yeah. I mean we're both here at twelve o'clock in the morning and I kind of want to know why. It's unusual seeing other people here." The guy asks. His voice was raspy and deep, and just by that, I can tell he was as mysterious as he can be.
"Well yeah, that's true. I guess talking a little can't hurt." I smile as I look at him.
"Exactly. So, why you here?" He asks.
I sigh as I prepare my words.
"I hate my home. I have no privacy there whatsoever and I feel like I don't even have space to think. I come here at times whenever I feel clogged up and I just need to think, ya know? Feel the silence for just a moment." I breathe out.
"Oh.." He softly says.
"Why you here?" I ask back.
"I got mad at my parents.. Didn't wanna stay there so I came here."
"So your first refuge is the park?" I giggle.
"I'm guessing." he smiles. I stay quiet as I try to examine his face. Since it's so dark and there's absolutely no lights in this park, I can't see at all, so I try my best. The only thing I can recall is that he has dark light brown hair, pinned up. His face had an oval shape to it, and that's all.
"What's your name?" I ask him, becoming more curious and curious to find out who this stranger is.
"Why don't you tell me yours first?"
"Alright.. It's *yn*." I say.
"Oh.."
"What's yours?"
"Justin."
I stay silent for just a moment, taking in that name. Justin? It sounded pretty familiar.. Heard Jason mention it a couple of times.. But wait.. Is he..
