Poem Number 2: Glass Vase

25 3 2

Glass Vase

Beautiful, brilliant, and bright
Out of the forge
So clear
Like a sunny day,
Not a cloud
In sight.

But disaster
Flies quickly
Like vultures,
Swift and terrifying.
Skies turn gray
As the hit blows
Hard.

Crash

A flash of light,
A cry of anger
Damage has been
Done.
Irreplaceable.

Pieces lay shattered
