The rain drummed steadily against the classroom windows, a soft, rhythmic cadence that filled the empty spaces between murmured conversations and the shuffle of books. Armani stepped inside, clutching her textbooks to her chest, her gaze sweeping the room until she spotted an open seat by the windowpane. It was her favorite place to sit. Close enough to the misted glass to watch the storm unfold outside, but more importantly, it gave her the perfect view of him.
No one knew about them, and that was how it had to stay. There was no thrill in secrecy, no joy in stolen glances that had to be carefully masked, but the alternative, the risk, was far worse. And yet, every moment spent in his presence made it harder to resist the pull.
Jiyong entered the room just then, a vision of effortless allure. Fitted light-wash jeans, a gray hoodie, black leather boots. Casual, unassuming, but devastatingly perfect. Armani felt her pulse quicken, her mind derailing into places it shouldn't wander in the middle of class. The way he ran a hand through his dark hair, pushing it back with practiced ease, was enough to send heat coiling through her. It had only been seconds since he arrived, and already, restraint felt impossible.
The class settled in, noses buried in books. Armani, however, had no interest in reviewing her notes. Instead, she traced his name absentmindedly in the margins of her textbook, her mind far removed from the lesson at hand. She let her gaze drift to his desk, watching as he meticulously graded papers, his expression unreadable. It astounded her how well he played his part, his demeanor never betraying a single crack in their carefully guarded secret. Meanwhile, she struggled to keep from unraveling every time their eyes met.
Twirling her pencil between her fingers, she cleared her throat and rose from her seat. The worksheet in her hands was a flimsy excuse, but it would do. With a deliberate sway in her step, she approached his desk, settling into the chair beside him.
Jiyong didn't acknowledge her immediately, finishing his notes on the last exam before pushing his hair back once more and finally meeting her gaze.
"Is there something you need help with?" His voice was steady, impassive, as though she were just another student.
Armani's lips curled as she placed a hand on his thigh, her touch light, teasing. "Number four doesn't make sense to me," she murmured.
His posture stiffened, though his expression remained composed. He knew this game well. She played it often, pushing at his patience, testing his restraint. She ran the tip of her shoe along the length of his calf, feeling the subtle shift in his breathing. Still, he remained unfazed, explaining the problem to her in a voice devoid of any hint of distraction.
She wasn't listening. Not really. Her attention was fixed on his lips, the way they moved as he spoke, the way they curved when he smiled.
"You're not hearing a word I'm saying, are you?" he asked, amusement flickering in his dark eyes.
Armani blinked, forcing herself to focus. "Of course, I am," she lied, biting her lip just enough to make his gaze flicker downward for a split second.
Jiyong exhaled sharply and returned to her paper. "You wrote a theme instead of a thesis. Fix that." He took her pencil, marked a few corrections, then handed it back. "Try switching these two sentences, and you'll have your focus."
"Just like that?" she asked, feigning uncertainty.
"It's easy." His smirk was slight, knowing. Jiyong's eyes locked with hers for a moment too long. Long enough to cross a line, then retreat from it. His fingers clenched the edge of her worksheet like it might anchor him. She always did this. Always knew when his guard was lowest. And every time, it got harder to pretend like he didn't feel anything.
Armani took the pencil from his hand, her touch lingering just long enough to make it deliberate, and scribbled something onto the page. She slid the paper toward him, watching his reaction as he read:
I want to kiss you so badly.
Jiyong's lips quirked. "Chowa."
Suppressing a smirk, Armani rose from her seat, returning to her desk with the satisfaction of a small victory.
The minutes crawled by until, finally, the bell rang. Students trickled out of the classroom, their departure slower than usual. Armani, in no rush, remained behind, pretending to finish an assignment. When the last student disappeared into the hall, she stood, her pulse quickening with anticipation.
Jiyong barely had time to react before she was straddling his lap, her arms winding around his neck. "Finally," she sighed, pressing her forehead against his. "I couldn't take it any longer."
His fingers trailed up the length of her thigh, sending shivers through her, but his voice remained firm. "Armani, this is a school boundary violation."
She grinned. "And?"
He opened his mouth to argue, but she silenced him with a kiss. Slow, intoxicating, deep enough to make him forget his own objections. Her fingers threaded into his hair, her body pressing closer, a silent plea for more.
Jiyong groaned against her lips, his restraint unraveling by the second. She knew exactly how to undo him. But as her hand wandered lower, his grip tightened around her wrist.
"No, babe. Not here." His voice was hoarse, his breathing uneven. "We'll get caught."
She pouted, her lips brushing the shell of his ear. "You worry too much."
"I'm being realistic."
Armani smirked, taking his hand and bringing it to her lips. Slowly, she parted them, sliding his index finger into the heat of her mouth, sucking languidly, deliberately. Jiyong inhaled sharply, his jaw tightening as he watched her.
"Armani—"
"You have beautiful hands, baby," she murmured, her tongue flicking over his fingertip before she pulled him in for another kiss.
Jiyong knew he should stop this. But his self-control was slipping fast, and the way she ground against him, teasing and relentless, was making it impossible to think.
With a curse, he grabbed her hips, pushing her away just enough to breathe. "Shit, baby. I can't wait anymore. Let's go."
Armani giggled, sliding off his lap and gathering her things.
At the door, he was already waiting, looking impossibly composed despite the fire still burning in his eyes. She caught up to him, draping her arms around his neck for one last stolen kiss.
He smirked against her lips. "Come on."
He opened the door, letting her step out first before following close behind. It was Friday. And he had every intention of making sure their weekend was far more eventful than anything that had happened in class.
