Ch 9. Alexa Counts How Many Mortal Problems She Has

ALEXA'S POV:

Being mortal sucks.
Sometimes it's fun, and sometimes, well, sometimes you feel like hiding in the corner away from the world.
However, there are those occasional moments where being mortal had its perks.
But most of the time, you'd want to go stuff yourself in a box because nobody gets your book or Anime references.
This was one of those times. 

It was a couple days after the little howler incident, and Jaxon has been in a bad mood since. He would grumble things under his breath (probably death threats to the twins) and sulk everywhere. Leo Valdez made a comment about how grumpy Jaxon was being, and how his grumpiness could rival Nico's. It took Alexa and the rest of the seven to keep the Kings of grumpiness from attacking Leo. Not that Alexa would have minded, he's been getting on her nerves more than usual.
However, that wouldn't be helpful. They were trying to get the trust of Camp Half-Blood, minus Chiron and Will Solace, but getting CBH to trust them proves more of a challenge then they thought.
Their awesome entrance on dragons, knowing who Nico was, capture the flag, and the little Howler incident didn't help. In fact, it seems the camp just became more wary about them. Yay.
Currently she was in the sword fighting arena, watching Nico and Jaxon slashing at the dummies, trying to blow off some steam.
Raquel was sitting next to her with a sketch pad drawing who-knows-what and Atlanta fell asleep on Skylar, who was talking to her sister. Skylar was trying to push the Queen of sleep off her, and pay attention to what Sylvia was saying, with no luck.
Alexa looked back to the book she was reading (which was Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. Fantastic book by the way).  It was a shame that she couldn't fangirl with anyone, being in a demigod camp and all. No, it not that people would think that she was weird (she could care less what people would think about her) it was that most of the campers have dyslexia, so reading is out of the question, and they can't use technology or they will attract monsters, so Anime is out of the question too.
The only people who fangirl with her are Raquel, Skylar, and Sylvia, but being witches they don't use technology 75% of the time because they're at Hogwarts, so no Anime. Nico and Atlanta are demigods and not that patient, not to mention the fact that Atlanta is also a magician so technology usually blows up around her, literally. (However, she's a huge Dan and Phil fan, but Alexa has no idea how she's able to watch them. Oh well) And Jaxon was a god so he didn't really get what the computer age was about.
Sometimes she wishes that she was back in mortal high school, then she remembered the students and takes it back immediately. (She often got made fun of for being a nerd.)

Alexa was brought out of her thoughts when she heard Jaxon ask, "Hey Nico?"
Nico stopped killing the dummy, "yeah?"
Jaxon got a mischievous glint in his eyes, "Do you want to spar?"
Raquel and Sylvia's head whipped around to look at them, Skylar's eyes widened, and Alexa jumped up, "NO!" They yelled, which was so loud that it woke up Atlanta. She fell off of Skylar, and on to the floor.
Skylar stood,"In case you haven't remembered," she said, "the last time you two spared, we were in Texas, and you almost destroyed the whole country side."
Jaxon shrugged and Nico rolled his eyes at him, "Whatever," Said Jaxon, "I just wanted to have some fun."
"Don't say that," grumbled Alexa, "because when you do, you sound like Amaimon."
Jaxon raised an eyebrow at her, "What?"
Alexa mentality face palmed, "Nevermind, anime reference." Seriously this is what Alexa was talking about. It was driving her insane.
"I'm breaking up with you unless you start watching anime." Alexa teased.
"What!" Jaxon pouted. "Lexieeeeee..." Gosh he was cute.
"Gosh, stop whining you sound like Rory."
Sylvia jumped up. "THANK YOU! Something I know! Wait are you Amy in this sequence?"
"I think the real question is, who's 11?"
"Raquel, the dragons are her TARDIS."
"Yah but Atlanta's uncoordinated enough."
"Hey! I think that's an insult." Atlanta whined.
"Really? I think mine is a compliment." Raquel replied.
"You're all idiots." Alexa replied.
"Agreed" Skylar said.

"Hey I resent that remark!" Came an unknown voice.
"Dude you blew our cover, good job." Came the voice of George Weasley. Alexa watched as the red headed Weasley twins came out from behind a bush, and stood up.
"Hey guys."

What's up? This week our question comes from MMearl19 What was your inspiration to start writing this story?
*Laughs* Well, well, have we got a story for you.
Oh no.
Oh yes! Well I actually was talking to Yin in our school dance class and told her the idea I had come up with for a story, this story, we had actually already started another story. But we ended up also starting this. Which we have abandoned for the time being after two chapters. We're sorry.
Really sorry.
Really, really sorry. Anyway I always come up with crazy ideas for fanfiction in my head, (I have this perfect Once Upon A Time fanfic in my head, back from when I was practically OBSESSED! Goldilocks is the main character in it, because I think it's horrible that she isn't a character! I think that they should add her in the show and let me play her.) but this idea clicked with Yin and here we are!
Yup! That's pretty much what happened. I was the one I'm charge of character development and stuff. Except for Sylvia. That was Yang's job.
