Chapter 5. Atlanta Almost Falls Asleep During That Really Important Meeting

ATLANTA'S POV:

All Atlanta wanted to do was sleep, and the worst part is that no one would let her. She had to sit for an hour and a half, in the big house rec room, around the ping pong table, eating cheese-it's, and listening to the story of why she was here, along with Jaxon, Skylar, Raquel, Alexa, and Sylvia. Nico was also there with Will, who apparently is Skylar and Sylvia's adopted brother, and Nico's boyfriend (no surprise there). They told Chiron everything, which is a lot. But what really ticked Atlanta off, was that after they explained their situation, they had to explain it again, this time, to the cabin counselors, Rachel Elizabeth Dare, and Mr. D, (who couldn't get her name right). This time, Atlanta and her friends only explained part of the truth toward them. Chiron had told them to say only what was necessary, but that still meant that they had to explain the whole 'Wizards exist thing', which included a lot of groaning, "First Romans exist, now wizards," said Leo, "Next thing they're going to tell us is that the Egyptian gods are around."
"Umm," Said Atlanta, "Im also an Egyptian magician. I follow the path of Isis, Egyptian Goddess of magic."
"Are you kidding me?" Leo complained.
"What's next? Norse gods?"
"Umm," Said Annabeth.
Percy's head turned so fast that Atlanta was surprised that he didn't get a whiplash.
"The Norse gods exist too?" He said.
Annabeth nodded and explained about her 'cousin in Boston', who was the son of Frey.
"Magnus Chase?" Jaxon asked.
"Uh, yes?" Annabeth replied uncertainly, "You know him?"
He nodded, "We meet in Valhalla."
"You're dead?"
"No, I'm actually a god," He said, pushing up his glasses, "And a crazy psychopath savage serial killer."
Everyone stared at him.
Sylvia spoke up, "This is why we have him on a leash."
"You have him on a leash?" Asked Percy incredulously, "where is is?"
Sylvia turned toward her sister, who was opening her backpack (it was on Raquel's dragon; she unpacked it). Skylar reached in it, which looked really funny because it went all the way to her shoulder (it had an 'extension charm' on it, whatever that means). It was a simple white backpack, but it had the #2 stitched on it in black, along with the Gryffindor emblem in red and gold. Everyone looked at her, "Where is it?" She muttered. When she still couldn't find it, she huffed, pulled out her wand, pointed it at the opening, and said "Accio leash." Immediately, a red leash with a red collar shoots out, with a gold tag that said 'Jaxon' on it. Skylar caught it, "Here it is!"
"Get that thing away from me!" Said Jax, "it's really uncomfortable." He said rubbing his neck.
"Why wasn't it on him in the first place?" Asked Leo.
"Well he was destroying monsters," answered Alexa in a 'duh' tone, "it makes it incredibly hard to fight."
"And she's typically the one holding it." Added Jaxon
"Why?" Asked Leo, again (he was seriously getting on Atlanta's nerves).
"Because we're dating." Said Jaxon, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Wait!" Said Nico, "you're dating?"
Jaxon replied with, "yes." while Alexa replied with, "unfortunately." He looked at her, and Alexa stuck out her tongue.
"How long?" Nico asked
"About a year." Replied Alexa.
"Yes!" Nico jumped up, pumped his fist in the air, turned toward Atlanta, and held out his hand, "Pay up!"
"What?"
"Pay up," he repeated, "remember? You said that they would get together in 2 years, I said 5. I win." He said proudly, though Atlanta wasn't sure what there was to be proud about.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Said Atlanta, but she knew exactly what he was talking about. Soon, Nico and Atlanta were having a big argument and were throwing cheese-it's at each other. Skylar and Sylvia had to intervene the argument before they killed each other. The twins quickly shifted through Nico and Atlanta's memories, and confirmed the bet did exist and that Nico won it. Which included Atlanta groaning.
"Anyway," said Raquel, after they 'resolved' that situation, "back to the story."
So they finished their story, which made Atlanta almost cry from happiness (because she would finally get to sleep), but she had to sit though another hour of people talking. This time, it was the 'seven of the great prophecy's' story of how they saved the world, and blah, blah, blah. Honestly Atlanta could care less about her brother's life at this moment. As of now, her 10 year old half brother, who has a penguin obsession would be less annoying.
Normally, she would feel bad for thinking those things, but she was tired, hungry, sleepy, and hangry. Not a good combo. She didn't care if the 'all powerful Perseus Jackson' saved the world twice, because she had her square share of wars. After all, Atlanta and her half brother Felix (who had the penguin obsession) helped the Kane siblings defeat Apophis, and that was good enough for her.
They explained that half of the seven was in New Rome (which included Jason, Piper, Frank, and Nico's half sister Hazel, whoever they were), and how Leo is really dead, and saved the 'oh so amazing and beautiful' Calypso. That made Atlanta want to throw up. Yes, she has a boyfriend, but she didn't talk about him like that.
She started looking around the room in sheer boredom, and looked at Conner Stoll (his brother was in the infirmary because he played a prank on the Ares cabin. That idiot.) who was starting at Skylar. Atlanta let out an evil chuckle, she was so going to tease them. Slylar of course doesn't know that the son of Hermes is staring at her, because she is paying attention to whoever is talking. Atlanta felt a little disappointed at that. She nudged Raquel, who was sitting next to her, and nodded toward Conner. Raquel narrowed her eyes at Atlanta, but it disappeared the moment she saw him. Raquel let a sly smirk creep on her face, and the message was clear, 'I'm so going to help them get together'. The two fist bummed and tried to pay attention to the meeting.

After the meeting ended, Chiron told Atlanta that she would stay in cabin 3, while everyone else would room with Nico in the Hades cabin. That made her kind of sad, but she was so happy to sleep, she didn't care. Atlanta pulled her stuff to the Poseidon cabin, faced planted on the bed, and passed out; not even bothering to unpack.
