Chapter 7. Camp Half-Blood Gets Crushed

SKYLAR'S POV:

Here's a tip: when you're trying to strike fear in your enemies, don't show up late.
That's what Skylar was thinking when Sylvia and she showed up late. But hey! Lateness is fashionable, right? That was a stretch and she new it.
She got on her armor. Skylar already had her normal sword and wand, and Sylvia had 7 daggers hidden over her body, double swords on her back, and refused to wear armor. She said it slowed her down. Whereas Skylar preference one good sword, wand and some armor. Another reason they were so different.
However, they both had a small bag full of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes products. Those things are more dangerous and an angry Jaxon. Another reason they were so alike.
"Alright" Chiron said,"The creek is the border line and all magical items are allowed. No maiming or killing allowed."
There was a round of booing and sighs. Chiron ignored them.
"The flags have already been hidden."
Skylar cringed, she was so late that she missed the hiding of the flags. 
Chiron looked at all the campers, "May the gods be with you Camp Half-Blood, for capture the flag, has begun!"

Jaxon, Alexa, Raquel, Nico, Atlanta, Sylvia, and Skylar ran toward the river. Before they crossed Skylar turned toward the others, "Where did you hide the flag?" She asked.
Jaxon looked at her, "You showed up late," he said stating the obvious, "I'm not telling."
Skylar huffed and did a quick run through his memories, and she could tell that her sister was doing the same thing.
Their flag was located at Zeus' fist.
"Got it." She said.
Jaxon muttered a quick, "dang it!" And huffed.
Alexa, Sylvia, and Skylar all rolled their eyes in sync.
"So what's the plan?" Asked Atlanta.
Nico thought for a moment, "How about plan Jaxlexa?"
Both Jaxon and Alexa blushed at that.
Raquel nodded, "Good idea."
"So we all know the plan?" Sylvia asked.
"Yes." Said everyone in unison.
"Great!" Said Skylar, "Let's go!"
And everyone ran off to their position.
For those who don't know, plan Jaxlexa is 1) Jaxon and Alexa's ship name and 2) Is a very complicated plan.
It really isn't a hard plan once you know it. Basically Raquel is flying on a dragon above pointing out patterns and positions. Jaxon's guarding the flag as the last line of defense. Atlanta is stationed at the river, cause Poseidon powers and stuff. Alexa is guarding the area between Atlanta and Jax. Nico and Sylvia causing havoc on the other team, distracting (well more like destroying) them. And Skylar had the pleasure to get the flag. A really simple plan.
Chiron really shouldn't have let us use magic items. From her wand to her bag of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes products, Camp Half-Blood was about to get crushed.
Skylar was running through the forest, jumping over tree roots and ducking under tree branches, she stopped in a clearing. Skylar could hear explosives going off. That must be her distraction. She was about to take off again, but someone said something behind her.
"Hey!"
Skylar whirled around, it was Conner Stoll.
"Did you really think you could be sneaker than a child of Hermes?"
"Actually," she said, "yes."
This seemed to stump him. Like he's never heard anyone sneak around that wasn't him.
Skylar took that moment to pull out her wand and cast the incarcerous spell which tied him to the nearest tree trunk. Upside down.
Conner Stoll stared at her dumbfounded because it's not everyday you get tied to a tree. And that wasn't the worst thing she could do. Props to being the Weasley Twins' best friends.
Skylar turned around to run, but she then, unintentionally, read his thoughts, 'I have been sent to the infirmary by the Ares cabin, turned into a pig by the Hecate cabin, and cursed be the Apollo and Aphrodite cabin,' he thought, 'but never have I been tied to a tree upside down by a hot girl.'
Skylar felt her checks grow warm. She turned around to face him, "did you just call me hot?"
Conner's eyes widened, "I said that out loud?"
Skylar shook her head with an amused smile on her face, "no, but I'm really good at knowing what's on people's minds."
Had this idiot not heard her say that she could read people's minds to the whole camp?
Apparently not.
He stared at her puzzled, "What's that supposed to mean?" He demanded.
Skylar's amused smile grew into a smirk, "Let's just say that I'm a special child." On the words 'special child' she tapped her temple with her pointer finger.
"Later Stoll." She gave him a salute and winked at him. Then she turned around and dashed out of the clearing, leaving a dumbfound and stuttering son of Hermes behind her. She chuckled under her breath, 'that idiot' she thought. 'That really cute idiot.'
She ran through the woods destroying anything and anyone in her path. She kept getting updates from Raquel through patronus, telling her where to go. She slowed to a walk when she arrived at the spot of the other team's flag.
She crouched, using the bushes around her for cover, and got closer. In the clearing there was the whole Hecate cabin guarding the flag. Skylar gritted her teeth. Apparently Camp Half-Blood was allowed to have more then 2 guards. Go figure.
She scanned the area around her. She would have to be fast.
Skylar dug in her bag of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes and pulled out the instant darkness powder. She held it in her left hand and pulled out her wand in her right. She toke a deep breath and threw the instant darkness powder.
As soon as it touched the ground, it exploded in a black cloud that engulfed the whole clearing. And just to throw them off some more, Skylar casted the Muffliato Charm. (Nothing's more confusing than being blind and having a buzzing sound in your ear keeping you from hearing anything.)
As soon as she casted it, she ran. Directly toward the flag and into the darkness.
She felt the fabric in her hands and ran for her life.
She bursted out of the clearing and raced past the other team. Shouts were coming from everywhere and a few people lunged at her, only to find air. Quite literally because she was using her wand to blow her opponents away. Skylar kept running and she found herself running alongside Nico and Sylvia.
"Grab hands!" She panted.
"What?" Nico asked.
"We're going to Apparate." Said Sylvia.
"What?" Said Nico.
'Of course,' though Skylar, 'He doesn't know what that is!'
"Just hold hands!" Skylar yelled, and she didn't wait for an answer, she took Nico's hand with her left and her sister's with her right and turned on the spot.
And they disappeared with a loud 'Crack!'
