5) I've Missed You

Braevino POV....

"I don't know who you are my mom ran off and left me with my grandpa now who are you?" I said stepping back from this lady that claimed to be my mother. I could see myself in her and I felt a connection but I don't want to believe it. This can't be the woman that left me here and I haven't seen her in years.

"Baby boy I'm your mother I left to protect you" she said coming closet to me. She put her hand on my shoulder and I looked closely at her. Her features looked exactly like mines. I couldn't believe that this was my mother. The woman I have never met but was apart of me. This was so surreal I didn't know what to think.

"Grandpa is this my mom?" I said getting emotional because of this. I never thought I would meet my mom. Especially after all this time I just thought she was dead. The thought of her being here with me was unrealistic to me. Now it's real and I don't know what to do. I definitely deserve answers right now. "Brae she's your mother" he said looking at me with sympathetic eyes.

I looked at her and walked out the house. I didn't want to be here right now. This was too much at the moment for me. I should be happy she came back in my life but why now? I know my grandpa obviously had something to do with it. I walked up the road and crossed into the woods.

I went to my tree and sat down with my knees to my chest. I put my chin on my knees and thought about alot. I just need to be left alone for awhile. I sat there for a long time and listened to the nature surrounding me. I closed my eyes and then I felt a presence coming towards me. I didn't move because I wasn't worried about it. Whoever it was wasn't there to harm me so I didn't move.

My mother came towards me and stood there. "What do you want?" I said looking away from her. She sighed and came closer to me. She kneeled down and took my hand. "Braevino baby look there is no possible way I can make up for the years of your life I have missed in your life and you have every right to be upset but I did it to protect you" she said and I looked at her.

I felt like she was being sincere in her plea with me. I'm just trying to figure out what in the world she was protecting me from. "What were you protecting me from mom?" I asked her looking into her light green eyes. She closed her eyes and breathed out her eyes popped back open.

She stood up and put her hands in her pockets. "Brae it's decisions me and your father made to be together it's hard to explain" she said pacing back and forth. I stood up and looked at her in her eyes once she stopped moving. I took her hand in mines and kept my gaze in her eyes.

"Mom tell me I need to know if something is going to happen to me especially if it may hurt me" I said staring into her eyes intently. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. I know she wants to tell me I need to know what's the big hold up. Grandpa says he can't tell me and only she can so here she is and I'm still in the dark.

"Brae your father was a very special individual and I was a normal girl and according to his lifestyle we couldn't be together so we disobeyed his family and went ahead and due to this Brae we got hunted for years until we had you and we had to change everything about ourselves our location, our names I changed my look but they still found us" she said starting to get frantic.

I got nervous and this was starting to peak my interest. I wanted to know so much and I was finally getting answers. "Mom who found you and my dad?" I asked her with curiosity filling my tone. She looked around and back at me. "It was a pack of people that we defied just so we could be in love and have you as our child they started hunting us and when your father died trying to protect us so I had to strike a deal and I gave you to your grandpa it was my only option to make sure you stayed alive" she said getting emotional.
