Chapter One- First Day

Katniss pov:

I wake up to the sound of my stupid alarm clock going BEEP BEEP BEEP, I do not want to go to school today or any day!

I get bullied every day, no one seems to care. It never stops they just like to pick on me. One time I had to go to the hospital because they banged my head in the lockers to hard, I had a concussion.

So I get ready for school change put on minimal makeup and put my hair in a side braid. Go downstairs and see my sister Prim eating toast at the table, I say hi and good morning she says it back and asks if I can put her hair in two braids I say yes and do her hair. Once I'm done I grab my bag and say bye to prim and walk to school.

When I get there I go to the office and get my schedule and my locker combo, I find my locker and put my stuff inside.

Just as am doing this I feel someone grab me and pull me to the nearest closet. I try to get free but their grip is tight I can't scream their hand is over my mouth. When I'm in the closet with them they lock the door I can't see anything but then they start speaking

"Hi I'm your dream guy Gal will you go out with me?" What? why and or who would go out with a guy who just pulled them in a closet and asked me out.

"NO why would I go out with you the guy who I don't even know that just locked me in a closet and asked me out!" I scream.

Just when I thought he would let me go he punches me in the stomach I scream in pain, and he just leaves the closet so then I just leave and go and get my stuff for my first class and run so that I won't be late. When I get to class on time a feel a tap on the shoulder. I turn around and see a cute guy with blonde hair and the bluest eyes ever. Then I see a bruise on his cheek. "What did you need," I asked.

"CanLII borrow a pencil." He asks, in his cool voice I think?

"Sure," I said, as I grab a pencil and give it to him.

"Thanks, I'm Peet, by the way,ay, are you new?" He asked, trying to form a conversation.

"I'm Katniss and Yeah I'm new," I said,  then I ask him what happened to his cheek he said he tripped but I think he is lying but I'm not so sure? He asks me what class I have, I tell him math next hour and he says

"No way I have the same thing can see your schedule!" I hand it to him and he says that he has all the same classes as me.

When we get to our next class we sit down next to each other and then it happens, this girl Delly walks in and starts to look around when she sees Peeta her eyes widened she walks over and attacks Peeta but he just pushes her off and she just says

"What is wrong with me hugging my boyfriend." She asks and then he says 

"Well, we are not dating and never will!" And with that, he turned around just as the teacher walks in. Well so far this going to be a good day but at least I can make new friends because I am new to this school. But I think Peeta will show me his friends so I will be good but now I know that this Delly girl is competition because I might have a tiny crush on the one and only Peeta Mellark.
