SORRY FOR LATE UPLOAD! I’ve decided to enter it for Watty Awards, so I wanted to keep it close to the deadline for the so that people wouldn’t forget about my story, so please vote! :) It’s been really hard for me to keep writing this story because I’ve never actually completed a story, so even if I don’t make it to Round 2, all I wanted to say is THANK YOU SOO MUCH! You don’t understand how much your support has meant to me. My one aim in life was just to complete a story, and now I’ve finally done that, so thanks again. Also, please don’t un-fan; I’ve got some more stories coming with faster uploads haha

Sorry if this chapter is not accurate legally, but I don’t know how these things work. I'm actually going to miss Arina even though she is a fictional character xD

Epilogue:

The dreary atmosphere consumed all the souls of the beings that huddled around in the courtyard. Step by step, people shuffled closer and closer into the historic building, all eager to find out the proceedings of the case. Anxious faces watched ahead, camera crews stood by with their cameras on hold, all waiting for the final verdict.

“This is Amanda Proctor reporting for BBC News. I am here at the case of the brothel owners, and we are only moments away from hearing the verdict. Here we have one of the victim’s with us. Could you tell us your name?”

The female’s high pitched voice droned on in the background of Arina’s mind. She sat on the bench, watching with empty eyes up at the multitude of cameras shoved in her face, all curious minds waiting for her response. Surprisingly, it was Arina’s choice to be seated in such an exposed place; exposed to the prying eyes of the public and callous gossipers of the media. To Arina, it was a way in which she could let all her thoughts go; to share them with everyone. She was desperate just to have a moment of peace within her mind. For months, she had been tortured with her thoughts. Thoughts she could not escape. She had only herself to blame for this entire situation, she had convinced herself.

“Could you please introduce yourself to the camera?” The news reporter was growing annoyed.

Arina licked her dry lips and took a deep breath.

“I am Arina Molotov, and I lived in this brothel.” The news reported gleamed at the thought of having a ‘story’. “I was 13 years old when I was first brought here by my step-father.”

There was a round of gasps within the crowd and flashes of camera as they all took the moment to capture an image of the young girl.

“He is dead now, and I know it was not his fault to bring me here. It was also not D’s fault, and I want him to be found not guilty.”

“What did you have to do while you were at the brothel?” Amanda Proctor interrupted her, desperate for the main piece of news.

“I have given my testimony in court and do not wish to talk about what I was made to do. I just want D to be free. It wasn’t his fault.”

“What did you have to do while you were at the brothel?” The lady repeated, even harsher this time.

“I.. I..” Arina was struggling to keep her composure. At times, even she forgot she was still a young girl and that there was a limit to what she could handle.

“She said she doesn’t want to talk about it. Did you not hear her?!” A deep masculine voice announced. Arina looked up to see Haden standing there, just like he had been standing by her ever since the night D was taken away.
