What the hell am I supposed to do?! I don't know what people do on dates! Ohh I'm gonna mess this up. The first chance I get at possibly making peridot mine and I'm gonna screw it up.
Maybe I can ask pearl for some advice.
That would be really awkward though. Talking to her about dating another person. She probably still hates me for what I did to her.
I'll have to suck it up though. For peri.
I got up and went to my room. I located the puddle that leads to pearls room and slipped through.
"Pearl! You in here?"
"What do you want Amethyst?"
"I need your help with something."
"Ugh fine I'll be down in a minute."
Pearl hopped down from her waterfall and stood near me.
"What is it?"
"I need to know what people do on dates and what to wear on one."
"Oh? Why would you need to know that?" she said with her usual saltiness.
My face flushed a deep shade of purple.
"Uh... Peri asked me out on a date."
"She did?! When?"
"Just a few minutes ago."
I turned and faced away from her. This is more awkward than I thought it would be.
"Oh. Alright." she sounded kinda disappointed for some reason.
"Is something wrong pearl?"
"Huh? No, nothing's wrong. Just, let's get this over with."
"P. Something's up. What is it?"
"Nothing's wrong!" she shouted a bit too loudly.
"Well sorry for being a good friend!"
I turned away from her and started to walk out the door.
"I'll just ask sapph."
Before I could leave she grabbed my hand.
"No Amethyst, wait. I'm sorry. I guess I just... Miss how it used to be. When you and I got a long."
"Well that's over now. I messed it all up. You hate me now."
"I don't hate you! I... I think I still... Love you."
"Yeah well it's too late. You spent all that time complaining that 'rose would do this' 'rose wouldn't do that' well I tried to be like her for you! But you didn't like that! Is it just me?! Do you just not like me?! Is that it?!"
"Of course not!"
"Well it sure feels like it! I'm with peridot now so just... Leave me alone."
I walked out of her room as fast as possible and saw ruby and sapphire flirting on the couch.
"S'up guys."
"S'up ame. What's wrong?"
"Yes, what is wrong?"
"Nothing. Me and P had another argument. That's it."
"Don't you guys always argue? What makes this time different?"
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"Ruby, we should go get ready now."
"Okay."
"Wait, sapphire can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Okay. Ruby you go ahead and get ready."
"Yes ma'am." (basically how my relationship will be XD)
Ruby ran off into their room while sapphire and I sat on the couch.
"Where does peridot plan on taking you?"
"What?"
"On the date. Do you know where she's taking you?"
"Oh. No, she didn't say."
"Hmm. Maybe you guys can come with Ruby and I. I believe the humans call it a 'double date'."
"That sounds fun."
"Alright I'll tell Ruby about it later. You'll want to wear a dress. We're going to dinner. You can't eat like you usually do though. You have to use your manners."
"Aww man."
"Now go get ready. I'll talk to peridot. We leave in two hours."
"Okay."
I ran to my room to find something to wear. I don't really know if I have any magazines in here with dresses.
"Oh there's one!"
I picked up a fashion magazine and found a black dress with a purple bow that I liked and fazed it on.
I walked over to a mirror and checked it out.
"This looks nice."
I wonder what Peri's gonna wear.

I finally did updated! Sorry for the long wait guys. Life and writers block got in the way. But I'll try to update more often from now on.
