Walking out of the police department in a new uniform, Michael and the Seargeant look around for the rookie car. It wasn't much different than the others, just had a bigger number on the front, which matched the number on his badge. "Well," Wheeler said, "Here's the car. You start today, from now on your shift starts at 7 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m., mainly because all normal shifts are greatly filled and thats the most needed time for officers. You can have duty up at the school from 7:30 to 8:30, which means just kinda drive around the school, walk around inside to make sure nothing goes down, you get what I'm saying?" Michael nodded. "Yessir, I do." Wheeler dropped the keys to the patrol car in the newbie's hands, wished him luck, and walked back inside. Michael went through the rest of his day patrolling the area. He had had a bit of college for LEO, which was probably one of the main things that got him in. The first place he drove by was the school. He ate lunch with the other on-duty officers, then right after got to give his first speeding ticket. He figured out by his first pullover that people could be really stubborn. "Sir, I need to see your liscense and registration, please." The man in the car looked extremely pale, but gave the officer his stuff with just a mumble of a few words. "Great.. Um.. Can you tell me why you were driving all over the road? Cars passing you were honking and also swerving out of the way. You could have killed somebody!" The man in the car said nothing. He started to fidget, then the chase was on. Michael said the usual code over his radio and was immediately followed by seven other on-duty policemen. Speeds continuely increased. 70, 80, now 90 miles per hour. The driver of the car was on both sides of the road, barely dodging the other vehicles. Seeing that the driver was driving towards the school, Michael knew he had to stop this chase fast. Taking on the deadly challenge, he sped past the car and cut him off. The driver bailed, and he let the other officers handle the rest since he didn't want to try running like that on his first day. He pretty well just stared forward, until approached by one of his coworkers. "Well, good job rookie. He was way too intoxicated, fell over right as he hit the ground on that side of the fence!" Michael smiled, feeling brave and accomplished. He seen the school busses start lining up at the school, and when the other officers left, he drove over to the school and waited by the high school for his daughter to come out to see his new police car. Young teens of all sorts of different colors poured out of the front doors at the same time. He seen parents get out of their cars to wait for them, so he decided to do the same. He stood right by the front brushgaurd and waited. One of the last students out, his daughter finally appeared with a schocked look on her face. He could tell she was happy, which made him happy. She ran up to him and hugged him, unable to take her eyes off the police car. "Is this yours?" Michael nodded. He looked up from his daughter to see an older looking girl run up. "Omg!!! Is this your dad Mallory? I love his car!" Michael smiled at the older girl and made his way to the front door on the driver's side to unlock the passenger door. Mallory and, who appeared to be, Jarah talked for just a minute longer before Mallory climbed into the car.
