That's what heartbreak is to me.
It's not being able to wake up and enjoy the sun on my face.
It's having to fake a laugh or a smile because the real one doesn't come naturally anymore.
It's looking around at the world and seeing through a lens of gray.
It's realizing years later that life doesn't go back to the way it did before, vibrant and carefree.
It's realizing that this numbness,
Is worse than all he ever did to me.
