Chapter 05

Once they reached Chebito's room, until Tobi carefully put on his oversized pyjamas, Chebito got a futon out of his cupboard and placed it on the ground next to his bed.

"You can have my bed for tonight" said Chebito with a smile.

Tobi looked at him in disbelief, wondering whether his generosity had a limit to itself at all. Too sleepy to contradict, he humbly accepted his offer and got onto the bed. Before getting into his futon, Chebito tucked Tobi into bed nice and snug and bid him goodnight. He then made his way to the light switch and turned it off then got into his futon and went to sleep as well after one last glance at Tobi who was almost asleep.

It was around midnight. With snores as loud as a pig, sleeping soundly in his futon was Chebito, dead to the world. On the other hand, Tobi was wide awake. He wasn't able to sleep as he had seen a nightmare. He rolled over from side to side but couldn't fall back asleep in the end. He then rolled over to the side the futon was and stared at Chebito's sleeping figure. He gazed at him for a while and then without realising it himself, he was out of bed and was cosily making himself comfortable next to Chebito. Making sure not to wake him up, Tobi layed down next to him, facing his back. As he stared at him, he felt something he hadn't felt in a long time; he felt secure. Not sure why he felt that way and feeling the sleepiness overtake him, he left that thought for another time. But the moment he shut his eyes for a good night's sleep, Chebito turned over and got on top of him, mumbling something under his breath. His eyes were still closed so he had to be sleep talking, though Tobi couldn't make out what he was saying. He then, unknowingly started undressing Tobi. Tobi, startled at the sudden assault, tried to push Chebito off but his hands were pinned down onto the futon before he could even attempt.

"H-hey you! What are you doing?!" said Tobi in a slightly loud tone since it was the middle of the night.

"Mmhhmm...." mumbled Chebito in his sleep.

"Get off of me!" yelled Tobi.

Chebito then leaned closer to him. Tobi stopped struggling as he noticed Chebito's face upclose. Even though they were closed, Tobi felt as though he could make out what kind of expression Chebito's eyes were making.

"To...." started Chebito.

Tobi's eyes widened. The thought of Chebito having a dream of him suddenly crossed his mind along with a huge wave of confusion. But he had no time to think any of it through as Chebito gently pressed his lips against his. His confusion increasing by the second, Tobi suddenly felt paralysed. He no longer had any idea of what was going on. Then their lips parted and Chebito faced Tobi, eyes still closed.

"...ka" he ended before falling on top of Tobi and continuing his blissful sleep.

"Touka?" Repeated Tobi in his mind. Partly relieved yet still confused, he stared at the ceiling, dumbstruck, with Chebito still fast asleep on top of him.

The next morning Chebito was the first wake up. He got up and rubbed his eyes contently. He then looked about his surrounding. He scanned his room and placed his eyes on the empty bed.

"Huh....? Tobi-kun...? Where did he go...?" muttered Chebito to himself in a drowsy manner.

He then looked down at his futon and noticed Tobi's sleeping figure lying next to him. He stared at him for a moment, processing what he was seeing. Once he was done, his eyes wide in surprise, he swiftly scooted away from the futon, banging his head in a nearby wall in the process.

Meanwhile, all the ruckus had woken Tobi up. He rubbed his eyes, still feeling groggy from not having enough sleep the previous night. He then looked around and noticed Chebito, staring at him as he was seeing a ghost. Seeing Chebito, Tobi remembered that night's incident and made an expression as surprised as Chebito's.
