Chapter 06

Chebito stood near the gate, waiting for Tobi so that they could go to school together. After a little while he noticed Tobi appear at the front door, though it appeared more like he was hiding.

"Hey! Aren't you coming? We're gonna be late!" shouted Chebito.

"You go on ahead... I'll come later..." said Tobi still hiding.

"Huh? What're you saying man? Come over here!" said Chebito.

"J-just go! I'll be right there!" said Tobi desperately.

"Eh...? Well fine then...if that's what ya want" said Chebito defeated.

Chebito then left after instructing Tobi to close the gate after him. As they walked to school, Chebito couldn't help being conscious of his surrounding, or more specifically, behind him. Like a stalker, Tobi was heading to school just as he was but while maintaining a certain distance between them. Once they were almost at their destination, Chebito stopped abruptly and turned to Tobi who reflexively stopped in his tracks as well.

"What're you doing?!"

"Huh? 'what' you mean... I'm going to school..." said Tobi trying to avoid the actual topic.

"Not that! Why the hell are you walking like three meters behind me like some kind of stalker?!" said Chebito freaking out.

"S-stalker..." repeated Tobi.

"Just come over here and walk to school together with me like normal friends!" demanded Chebito.

"Friends...?" repeated Tobi once more, though this word had seemed to have had a much bigger impact than the previous one.

Tobi stood still for a moment, then swiftly moved to Chebito.

"Now that's bett-"

"I'm sorry but I can't walk to school together with you" said Tobi looking down.

"Eh? But-"

"Just go! Forget about me!" yelled Tobi.

"Huh? How can you say that with all that's happened? I can't just simply forget about you..." said Chebito.

"You... you really are an idiot aren't you..." said Tobi under his breath, loud enough for Chebito to hear.

"What-"

"Just go!" Tobi said glaring at Chebtio with vicious eyes.

Defeated, Chebito let out a sigh and finally turned around and continued to school. As he entered the school premises, he walked for about halfway through and stopped in his tracks. He turned around to see where Tobi was, and there, he saw him at the entrance, greeted by looks of hatred and hostility by everyone. After a slight pause, Tobi continued his way to the school building. Chebito then noticed that some students were glaring at Tobi while some of them were badmouthing him. Just then a group of kids picked up some stones from the ground and started throwing them at Tobi. He winced in pain as he was hit by them and yet he continued to walk forward. Chebito who was watching this whole scenario in horror, unconsciously started rushing towards the scene in hopes of stopping all the chaos.

"What is this? What the hell? So the reason you didn't want to go to school together with me..." started Chebito as he dashed in front of Tobi, flinging his arms in the air, shielding him from a barrage of stones.

"...was because of this?" he finished while opening his eyes to see Tobi staring at him in horror.

"You IDIOT! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" yelled Tobi in frustration as he tried to push Chebito away from him.
