It was late in the evening, the sky was dark and the streets were quiet. While his so-called demon friend was still soundly asleep on his bed, Chebito was busy fixing up some warm porridge for him.

"I sure hope it's to his liking..." said Chebito to himself as he closed the lid on the pot of porridge and started making his way upstairs.

Meanwhile, Tobi had woken up and was drowsily looking about his unfamiliar surroundings. Just then the door opened and Chebito entered the room, the aroma of the freshly made porridge filled the entire room, but Tobi just plainly stared at Chebito, dumbfounded.

"Ah, you're awake. How are you feeling? Chebito asked as he entered.

Tobi blinked rapidly, still not fully adapted to his situation.

Chebito closed the door behind him and walked over to Tobi. He placed the tray with the pot of porridge, along with a spoon, on Tobi's lap. Tobi stared at the scrumptious looking meal and then turned back to Chebito. As their eyes met, their gazes locked on each other for some time. A few moments later, Tobi broke the silence.

"Where am I?" he asked with hints of suspicion in his tone.

"At my place" replied Chebito very casually.

He noticed Tobi's bewildered and insecure expression and said that he lived by himself to reassure him. Tobi then turned his attention back to the porridge. He admired the delicious meal, then said something in a low voice.

"Why are you doing this?" he asked.

"Mh? Uh... cause.... you're hurt...?" answered Chebito uncertainly.

Tobi kept silent.

"...and because I couldn't just ignore someone who was lying unconscious right next to me..." he added, trying to make his answer more reasonable.

"Didn't you consider the fact that that 'someone' was me?" questioned Tobi.

"Mh? What about you?" asked Chebito dimly.

"I'm the demon boy you know! I could... kill you anytime I wanted!...yet you casually let me into your house let alone offer me a meal." said Tobi hysterically.

"Well yeah... I mean you did almost end up killing me a little while ago...but at that time, it wasn't you who was in control of your body." said Chebito.

Tobi turned to him, his eyes wide in terror.

"How did you-" he started but was cut off.

"Even I noticed that" finished Chebito.

Tobi stayed silent for a moment, processing his words.

"Then why would you bring me here, knowing that?" he asked as he came to a realisation.

"Well you needed help one way or another, so I thought I'd just-"

"You're a real idiot!" said Tobi with a little force.

"If you're so good at it, how come you didn't notice this as well then?!" he yelled.

Chebito stared at him dumbstruck.

"N-notice what?" he asked curiously.

Tobi then brushed away some hair out of his face, revealing his miraculously healed cheek.

"You see this? The wound from yesterday is gone! Scar and all!" he started.

"I have abnormal powers that let me heal any wound inflicted on me! I'm immortal!  A plain monster!" said Tobi, his voice cracking.
