Layah's dream~

I felt warmth. I looked up and I saw light over a person's face.I tried squinting to get a better view but no matter what I did I could only get a chiseled silhouette. He reached out to me and the moment he grabbed my hand I felt tingles and a strong warmth take over.I knew who he was. This was my mate. My love and my only. It was like time stopped and in that moment it was just me and him.It felt like a long and happy eternity and I was basking in his warmth, his love for me.

He leaned in and I held my breath and closed my eyes. I felt the softest touch on my forehead that sent heat through my body and finally a whisper near my ear " I love you."

In that instant I saw darkness creeping at a fast pace towards us looking like hell itself was taking over. 

 The darkness moved fluidly with purpose with contorted hands reaching out and a terrifying aura that only screamed danger . With one last gentle caress my mate pushed me away as the darkness consumed him.

"NO!" as my body crashed to the floor I wept and screamed for a man whose face I couldn't even see but I knew he had my heart. I wrapped my arms around myself in mourning only to feel a cold liquid . I looked down in my hand and saw blood.My Blood.Gushing dark blood pooling from me surrounding me . Excruciating pain wrenched within me flowing throughout my body.

In shock and confusion I chanted 'This is a dream .The pain isn't real Layah' over and over as I was consumed with pain and a cold feeling that grew as my body got weaker and weaker .

'This is a dream! Wake up.Wake up Wake up!'

 that moment the darkness swept around like a cold wind. To weak to run I could only look up  as I felt my life leaving me and see a pair of terrifying green eyes.They were filled with darkness and malice. Then I heard a voice with such spite and evil I flinched in fear as it said

" Your fate"

Layah's POV

I woke up.In my bed with no blood, no darkness and sadly no mate. With a cold Sweat and and fear still lingering on I thought in confusion why do I keep having that dream with those eyes I shuddered and thought on and that man..' a blush made its way to my face as I remember his last words.I touched my forehead gently. 'I could still feel his lips'.I looked up dreamily to my clock and my eyes widened I slept in! I only have 5 minutes before  I'm late and anna kicks my a** .

I brushed all thoughts of my dream aside and jumped out of bed. I hurriedly made it over to my full body mirror and looked at my disheveled appearance in disgust.  I stared at myself with determination  in the mirror my purple eyes began to glow and I said " latif vatir" Instantly my pj's transformed into dark blue fitted skinny jeans, black heels, a silver mini jacket and a black tank top with purple butterfly design. "Alright that is alot better. Damn I love magic "

You see I was born of a beautiful mix.My mother a young witch in the making came across my Alpha father and instantly fell in love. And you know how that goes. So from that love you have me and my brother Luke. When two magical beings mix the offspring is usually born with only one species' traits.But then you have the extremely rare occurrence and come out with a hybrid that has both species' traits and abilities. And that is how I came to be.

'Now before I am completely late time for a little hair and makeup assistance.'

I went up to my mirror again and said" lamew castor" as the final word was said my lips became pinker and smoother, my eyelashes longer and darker, my hair neat and wavy with not a hair out of place and finally smokey grey eye shadow making my natural purple eyes pop! And right on the dot I hear a car horn honk .'time to go I guess'

I ran down stairs and grabbed some toast from the kitchen " Someones a little late today huh?" my brother, luke said " You're only late if you look at a clock" I shouted as I ran out the door. I ran up to a red Ferrari and got in only to see my best friend Anna's impatient and slightly annoyed face.

" Why do you always keep me waiting Layah?? I don't like being late." she shouted as she sped off the driveway

" Oh calm down it's not like your so punctual all the time" I said with a smirk on my face

" Really layah? You wanna be a doctor can you really imagine arriving late to a surgery" She said with a grin pulling at her lips

" Well luckily for me this is just a biology class we are late for huh?"

Rolling her eye I hear her mumble " Smart ass " 

Smiling I said "You love it."

She smirked "Uh huh well if you are late one more time I will make you have a full Grey's Anatomy marathon with me as repentance"  

I winced at the thought" Oh God...I promise I won't be late anymore."

Anna looked over with a large grin when she saw my face before going back to the road"  Now that we've dealt with that you wanna tell me what's going on? I know you to well to be tricked by your magic you look like you didn't sleep well at all."

Sighing at the memory "its just the dream I told you about.Its coming more frequently and each time it becomes more vivid ...more real."

Glancing at me from the driver's seat she said "Were the eyes still...watching you?"

"Yes and honestly it hovered  over me like death itself .I've never felt so terrified.It was such a piercing gaze, I felt like I would die at any moment. " I said slightly shaking my thoughts willing the memory to go away 

" Well what about lover boy? have you seen his face?" Anna quickly asked trying to help change the subject 

Smiling at the thought " No I didn't and I don't want to. I want the full surprise of meeting my mate." 

Laughing as we pulled up to the college "Of course you do, your such a romantic.But on a serious note I think you need to tell someone about your dreams."

"No its probably no bi-

"Don't you dare say its no big deal Layah. You know things are different for you since your a witch. Your magic brings you closer to your own fate and your emotions more than anyone else. What if the dreams mean something? " 

The thought of the dreams being anything close to real brought the conflicting emotions of joy as I know they have to do with my mate and heart stricken fear as I remember the blood.

Anna saw my face and sighed " Atleast call your mom when you can and talk to her about it.She should be able to tell you. Now come on lets go to class."

After a long lecture on the importance of punctuality I am now sitting in my Bio II class listening to my music on my phone when the teacher comes in talking about 'good news' I take out my earphones and hear her say" Today students we have a new pupil in the class so give him a warm welcome" all the girls in the room started giggling talking about how they heard the new kid was '"So hot"' 'Oh please! Girls you need focus on the books not the looks '. Then the teacher said " Students be quiet and welcome our new student ,why don't you come on in now" she said to the new student

And then came in the man that would change my life
