"Jacob was an interesting person, or, I think interesting alien would fit him better," Shianne said, lightly wringing her wrist, "Very funny. Should I tell you about the other two?"
"Yes, please," Dr. Max said.
"Josh, Jake's twin brother, and Nathan came about a week after Derek and Jake."
"Did anything happen when they were all there?"
"Um, sometimes they rough housed, that was entertaining. Josh was the bigger one of the bunch, so he usually decided when it ended. One fight in particular I remember seeing, I was in tears laughing by the end, but I felt so bad for Soli..."
---
"Solomon, what in the world are you getting so worked up over?" Josh said rather loudly from the kitchen, drawing Shianne's attention from her spot on the couch. She peered over the edge to see Josh and his shorter brother, Soli, arguing.
"If you really did tell those morons at that facility about that, you might as well have lost all your dignity!" Soli said, sounding perturbed, "Why did you--"
"They drugged me! It wasn't my fault!"
Shianne's eyes widened with curiosity and concern. What..?
"I-- let's not fight about this while there's a lady here."
Shianne saw both of them look at her, turning their heads quickly, Soli's ponytail flipping over his shoulder. She ducked behind the back of the sofa nervously.
"True," Josh said, "But don't forget that I have a bone to pick with you, too."
Shianne peeked over the couch again to see Soli whip around to Josh from walking away.
"What did I do!"
"You volunteered to leave first, you left us behind for weeks! Your friends, your brothers!"
"I said we shouldn't--"
Josh shouted something in a different language as he stepped directly in front of Soli, the latter grimacing at him from the closeness. He said something in a bitter, angry tone and turned around, walking away from Josh again. Josh waited a second before he took a step and reached out, grabbed Soli's ponytail, and pulled back hard. Soli fell with a cry as Josh watched, and Shianne twinged at the unholy crack that came from Soli's head coming in contact with the hard tile.
"Ow! I'm bleeding!" Soli said as Shianne rushed to aid him, Josh covering his mouth in shock.
"It's not that bad," Shianne assured him when he sat up so she could examine it, "You aren't even bleeding, but that was nasty sounding when you hit the floor."
"My head hurts really bad now."
"Go sit for a while, you're fine--"
"What was that?" Brian came in from the hallway of rooms, concerned.
"Josh and Soli were fighting and Soli hit his head."
"Josh, Solomon, save the fights for outside," he scolded the two, who looked at him pleadingly. "I don't want anyone bleeding on everything or any major conflicts. Got it?"
"Forgive us, please," Josh said, and explained that he didn't mean to hurt his brother like he did.
"You... pulled his hair. And he fell. I half expected you to have punched him in the gut, considering your size. I did boxing years ago, and I wouldn't make a move like that!"
"Well, my brother's such a wimp, ya know," Soli said, rolling his eyes. Josh chuckled and lightly kicked him, making all three of them laugh.
Shianne didn't know why, but she started giggling along with them, getting up off the floor.
