~Lunch Period~
"You honestly talk to much like shut the hell up for two minutes" Alex said. At that moment I just wanted to let everything go and curse her out right there, infront of everyone like she just did to me. Who is she to say or even tell me to shut the hell up, cause I know when she's next to those boys her mouth doesn't stop for quite awhile. Sadly, as usual the only word that kicked in to my mouth was "fine".Hi my name is Brooklyn. Your typical thick, average sized brain, creative mind-set, boy craze fan, oh and how can I forget, can't stick up for herself girl. I know the first thing your thinking about is how this story is going to be about me getting bullied by my friends and crap like that. But it's actually just another day in the life of a 11th grader.
"Guy's" I said. Obviously no one was listening to me. Their either on there phone or talking about the same new boy that has been here for a month already. "Guy's seriously I want to know if we are still going to the park afterschool".
Trying to get their attention, I notice Alex laughing. "Wow guys real funny , I like how you guys can ignore me." I said. "Ok calm down it was a joke." Alex said. After that everyone laughed and I felt so embarrassed it wasn't even funny. I sat the whole lunch period watching them have fun and talk and listen to each other like friends do, It's funny cause that's all I ask.
~Afterschool~
I walked out the building waiting for my friends at the edge of it so I can know their afternoon plans for today. It takes us a long time to get out of school and the only explanation I have is cause were are group of black people. While waiting a familiar face stopped to greet me.It was Jussie my best friend since 9th grade. We me through one of those school events where to sum it up they basically force you to make friends. We bonded on how funny and stupid it was. Since then we've been friends. In the first year we met we tried that boyfriend and girlfriend thing but we agreed on how akward it was and made us and so we broke up. We just stayed bestie's ever since.
"What's good, sis" Jussie said. "Oh nothing just waiting for those black people who like taking a long time to leave a freakin school building."I said. Jussie gave me a weird look after that. "They didn't tell you" he said. "Didn't tell me what, oh wait don't tell me I bet it's the same fucking thing as last week and their same old excuse that they are gonna wait for me" I said. I stormed off to my bus stop to go home.
"Wait, Brook I don't like to see you upset but I have to ask, why do you hang out with those girls?" Jussie said while running a block to stop and grab my attention. "They are my friends they just don't know how to act like it" I said in a very low voice.
"Listen if that's how you feel than okay but do you want a ride, you can come to my house and it can be like old times like in 9th grade" Jussie said. "Sure" I said while laughing at the memory of old times. As I got into the car I called shotgun. But I was to late when I noticed his friend Dylan got in before me. I took backseat next to a cute boy. He wasn't cute he was sexy and my type. The funny thing is I am so sure I am not his type. "Oh Brook this is Logan, Logan this is Brooklyn" Jussie said. We both exchanged hi's and information about each other. Each sentence made me fall more and more inlove.
Each member in the car left one by one and soon enough it was just Jussie, Logan, and me. We bonded so much in a 45 minute car ride that we even made up nickname's for each other. I'm his princess and he's my king. I wanted to be queen but I was not trying to come on to strong. "Good looks" Logan said. I laughed so hard even Jussie knew something was up. I just embarrassed myself. He laughed at my laugh and said it was cute. That was the day I figured out any color or shade of black can blush the color red."See you tomorrow, Princess" Logan said as he gave me a quick hug and left the vehicle.
"So are you going to tell me what that was about or were gonna act like that didn't happen" Jussie said. "You know that feeling you get when your turned on" I said. "Yeah" he answered. "I've passed that level in just a conversation with him, he's the one" I said as I laughed. "I thought you hate laughing and smiling cause you hate showing your teeth" Jussie said. "He changes everything" I said as I got out the car getting ready for an afternoon full of teasing, laughing, questioning, and fun.
