Chapter 9

Louis Pov*

I decided to wear my button up polka dot navy blue shirt. My shirt was a little snug, but it complemented my body. i slipped on some loose dark black faded jeans. I don't know why i was getting so fixed up for this meet up. It's a different setting but it should be fun with Aubrey. That guy stared at us from  behind her today thought he was so tough. He was taller then me but i don't give a shit . I wasn't intimidated. That was probably her boyfriend but I don't care. what the hell is he going to do to me. That douche bag tried to start a fight with my mate, because of some girl. Niall told me to meet him by the front of building when he saw me talking to Aubrey. He can be a sensitive bunch. I invited him to bowl tonight so he could be more social with other people besides me, Zayn, Harry. and Liam. I put on my favorite black bow tie; staring at my freshly cut hair that i swooped up like Niall's. I grabbed my wallet and phone then walked out of my apartment; locking it . 

Aubrey Pov*

I stand my lips parted slightly; Yareli. I haven't seen her in in 2 years. My best-friend was standing in my doorway with tears streaming down her eyes. I couldn't believe my eyes; Yareli has been gone for so long. I couldn't stop myself from crying. She ran and jumped into my arms. This was my best graduation gift. She hugged me so hard and tight. She smelled like how she use to always smell; strawberries and flowers mixed together. " I never want to go back there ". She weeped in my arms. 

Yareli went missing 2 years ago. Sophomore year was so hard to survive. I cried everynight i thought my best-friend was dead. I tried to find her for a month but i eventually just gave up. My mom told me things would get better but it didn't. I started getting bullied by the girls who were friends with her but not with me. They called me an anorexic ghost. I cried everyday; they made me feel like shit. My friends tried to cheer me up but it didn't help. I cut my wrist and legs.  I went into depression for 8 months ,before the bullies graduated and i was finally a junior. This was a lot of memories flowing back at once. good and bad.

"Aubrey your tattoos look great on you . Oh my god you look so different i remember when you were a blonde". She laughs. " this fits you so much better. whose he" He points over to Connor. When i look up at her, Her eyes were dilated so much there was just a thin line of light brown left to outline her pupil.                 "oh that's my mom's boyfriend's son" . Her cheeks become a rosy red. I can tell she thinks he's attractive.  

" Aubrey whose your friend" Connor was checking out Yareli hard. I felt like i was going to puke . 

"Yareli we have a lot of catching up to do, you know that right". I said to break the awkward silence . " Yea I know ". She looks down at the ground. I really wanted to apologize but before i could apologize, There was a ring at the doorbell. I let out a breath, that seemed as if i was holding in for a long time, when i opened the door to see Louis. His eye dilated as his eyes trailed down my body. 

" Woah , uh.uhm.oh god you look just magnificent " Louis studders i guess wearing tights and a shirt wasn't so bad. He didn't even realize his mouth was hanging open. I smiled and began to blush. he catches me off guard when he grabs me by my waist and hugs me . i smile hard enough for my dimples to pop out. " Is your friend going to come along its already 6pm? " He asks.                                                      " Yes"! Yareli shouts. " I mean if you want me to". She recovers and blushes as Connor giggles. "alright good deal lets go". Louis stares into my eyes and smiles while holding me still.

We load into Louis' car ,and he cranks his car up. His music blast through the speakers. I take it upon myself to turn it down. "Louis is it cool if i can play some music from my phone?" I look innocently at him. "God Aubrey don't look at me like that. Your so cute. sure go ahead and play your music". I plug in my phone and play Blake Shelton "Sure be cool if you did".
