As I was eating my breakfast the next day, I was wondering how I was going to avoid Raydein, if at all. I really didn't want him questioning me on anything. As I learned from experience, questioning is always a bad thing no matter how small. If people started questioning me, they would find out really quickly, that I'm not who they think I am, and that is a truly scary thought.

As it drew closer to lunchtime, I started training. When I wanted to think, that's what I did, train until I passed out. It probably wasn't the best system, but if it kept me from talking to Raydein, and people questioning me, I would take anything I could get. I started practicing with my bow, and then eventually switched to my daggers.
As I was hacking and slashing at random enemies, I heard footsteps approaching me. I acted like I had not heard anything, even though in my mind, I was already forming a plan of action.
As the footsteps drew closer, I quickly put both my daggers in my right hand, took the persons hand [which I had long sensed was going to end up on my left shoulder] from mid air, and flipped them over my left shoulder on the ground. In the next second that my daggers were resting against the persons throat, I realized that the person on the ground was Raydein.
"Hi." I said, as I hesitantly straightened up.
"Hi." Raydein gulped nervously.
"So, what were you doing?" I questioned as he stood up.
"Nothing...." He said nervously, as he trailed off.
I scoffed. "What do you need help with for training?"
His eyes immediately lit up. "I need help defending against dagger attacks. I can do swordplay all day, but I can't defend a minute against daggers." He said, as he chuckled to himself, probably remembering our whole "dueling" fiasco, if you could even call it that...
And for the next few hours, we both worked on sharpening our individual skills.

As we were sipping water, Raydein kept glancing over in my direction.
The next time he did it, I threw up my hands, and exclaimed, "What?"
He looked a little shocked but didn't say anything.
"Seriously, WHAT?!" I all but yelled.
"Nothing." He said, as he put his palms up in a surrendering gesture.
"Alright, well I can't sit still for much longer, so do you want to go for a ride with me?" I blurted, as a stood up suddenly.
"Sure." He said as he nodded, and stood up with me, towering over me.

At the stables, I sprinted up to Crunchy, and hugged her around the neck.

"How are you girl?" I exclaimed as I stroked her muzzle.
"Wow... Iv'e never seen you this happy." Raydein chuckled.
"I'm sorry, I really like my horse, okay, GOSH!" I scoffed, as I snickered.
"Okay, okay!" Raydein said as he laughed.
"So where is you're horse?" I said as I pushed Crunchy's head away from my pockets.
"His name is Creek, and he is probably eating." "I swear, thats all he does anyways." I heard him mumble afterwards.
I couldn't help but chortle at the later statement.
After he said that last statement, a gorgeous all brown stallion came charging from around the right side of the stable. I thought it was all brown, but I corrected myself when I saw the white line that formed around his left eye and continued until it reached the right side of his body and down where it met up with his all white back right hoof.
"Creek, Crunchy. Crunchy, Creek." Raydein said.
The two horses ran around for a little bit until Creek put his head on Crunchy's head and tried to nuzzle her. I started laughing cause I knew what was about to happen next. Like me, Crunchy wasn't the biggest fan of contact. So, when someone that she doesn't trust tries to initiate contact with her, she likes to either bite or kick them to get them to stop touching her.
In a split second, she had Creek running off to his master whining in protest.
Crunchy then ran back over to me, and butted her head affectionally against my chest.
I snickered as Raydien consoled Creek, while glaring in Crunchy and I's direction.
"Thats what you get for trying to touch her!" I laughed.
"Why can't anyone touch her?" Raydein asked, lifting his eyebrows in question.
"She doesn't like people touching her that she doesn't know, and doesn't trust." Then I added quietly "Like me...."
"What?"  Raydein's head shot up trying to hear me.
"Nothing." I said as I swung up in the saddle. "How's about that ride now?' I said as I took off.
I looked back to see him following me.
Hopefully he didn't see my smile, I thought, as I hid it behind the inside of my elbow.
I looked up to see that Raydein and Creek were a little bit further than us, so I pushed Crunchy on after them.

Away we rode, into the lush forest surrounding Castle Manticore.
