For Emily. For Her.

For a friend, I will do many things, and so will many other people apparently. A friend of mine has a father who insisted that she was a lesbian, so we made her a fake boyfriend, Jake. Jake was so in love with my friend, Emily, he writes poetry for her. Now, as I am a writer, I got deemed the job of writing the poetry for him, but of course, everyone else wanted to chime in as well. So, this is the poem that many of us wrote. You can try and guess which part I wrote if you would like.

She has hair

like a person

who has hair.

Her eyes

are like the color of a person's eyes.

They sparkle like melting chocolate in the sun.

Her smile is like

a chipmunk's happy in the forest.

Her voice

is sweet

as it glides through the air.

Her body muscular

like an amazon princess

makes me swell into life as she walks by.

I crumble before

such essence and beauty

of a woman

who is so woman like

and pretty.
