Somehow this turned into a OUAT story as I was writing and it got really weird....
5 May 1999
I was so over this day before it had even begun. There was a reason for this. It was simply because everywhere i turned I saw faces of those that I had known. I had seen mostly James and Oli, the two people that meant the most to me in the world. At least I knew what was happening to one of them; the other, I had no clue if he was safe or if he was even alive still.
My brain froze, and so did time. Everything around me slowed down and for once I didn't mind or care about the people around me and how it affected them. My main quest now is to get this curse lifted from me. And to do this, I have to get far away from here. I have to go to Maine, then make my way up to Maine.
7 May 1999
"Are you ok?" There was a voice belonging to a lady asking me a question. "You don't look well."
"I'm looking for a town called Storybrooke. I'm not sure if I'm in the right place."
"Actually, you are. I'm Emma, the sheriff of this town. And may I ask who you are?"
"My name? It's Samantha." I thought that there was no point in lying the first time I get here. "I'm looking for someone, I'm not quite sure who. But I have a large problem."
"Would it be too intruding if I asked what it was you needed help with?" Emma seemed very nice with her blond hair, long and waving down her back.
"Not intruding at all actually. I have a problem with magic. I know I sound so strange, but I can stop or slow down time. Especially when I don't want to."
"Looks like you came to the right place, kiddo." Her understanding made me feel welcome already.
We walked down the street together, and we were soon joined by a tall man, with brown eyes and brown hair. They kissed as a greeting as if I wasn't there, because to him I wasn't. I knew this man, but the problem was that I didn't know how.
The way his jawline was chiseled into a smooth line with scruff of beard surrounding it. His blue eyes could make someone get lost if they looked too far into them. My eyes followed his long arms and revealed a missing hand, a hook where it should be. Captain Hook, Killian Jones. The man that I once knew long ago, in a land where I was a princess. Somewhere that was far from here.
"Samantha?" The tone in his voice sounded so unwelcoming that it made my skin shrivel. He had helped me before, it made me wonder what had changed him. The man infront of me was hostile towards me, just like others I knew.
"You two know each other?" Emma had so much surprise in her voice that it made me snap back to reality.
"Yea, actually we met in the Enchanted Forest. A fairytale land." I had to make sure my replies weren't too open. Who knew what he had told her.
"As lovely as this reunion is, I have to leave. I have business to attend to. Sorry Sam, bye Emma." He kissed her goodbye the way that snow falls on your lashes, softly. I couldn't help but think about that being what I wanted. It pained me.
"You're from the Enchanted Forest? So I am! You might actually know my parents, they're Snow White and Prince Charming." Emma seemed all but happy with the discovery she had made.
She begun to guide me towards Granny's Diner, apparently where I was to meet her son, Henry, her parents, her younger brother, and the rest of those that are from the Enchanted Forest too. It seemed to me that this was the place all fairytale characters went when they needed a place to hid out.
"Everyone, I've found someone that some of you might recognise. Don't crowd her, but this is Samantha and she is from the Enchanted Forest."
I looked up and saw who I thought was Henry and behind him Snow and Charming. I would have never guessed who had walked in behind me. It was shocking and made everyone's faces infront of me turn to stone.

I turned around to see why everyone's faces were in disbelief, and to my surprise, it was James. My James, the James that had left me broken while in the arms of the one that I really wanted. It was as if he had never seen me before and before I knew it I heard his loud voice booming through the diner.
"What a warm welcome. I know you were all awaiting my return, but I am here. No longer have fear." A cheesy grin washed off his face as soon as I looked him in the eyes. I can imagine that my eyes were weary and tired, but his were gleaming as if he had just come back from an enriching journey, and not the one that I had seen him on.
"I got her here. Isn't that what you all wanted?" He continued after he had no reply.
"What do you mean got her here? She came here on her own accord." Emma was already taking my defence when there was no need. With or without protection, I knew what his strengths and weaknesses are. If he was to attack me, I would bring him down faster than he would me.
"You mean that night was a game? A way to get my thoughts into action about getting rid of myself?" My reply to him was haste, mainly to the point that I didn't want anything to do with him anymore and I was certain I made myself clear during our last encounter. I walked out of the diner and not to my surprise, James had follow. I began to turn my walk into a jog in an attempt to get as far away from him as I could in the shortest amount of time.
"Sam wait! Just let me talk to you!" His voice was shaky and I could tell that he was running after me.
"Whatever you have to say, I don't want to hear it anymore. I'm over this game that you think I want to be apart of!" I yelled back as I came to a stop on the street and turned around to look back at him. In a matter of seconds he had caught up to me. He turned me around with his hand in the small of my back and began to walk me forward, away from the diner.
"Look, I know this might be hard for you to want to understand, but I only did what I did for your own good and I would never have to put you in danger if I didn't have to. I really care about you but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to keep the ones you love the most safe."
"Did you really think you could follow me here and make me change my mind about you? Newsflash, I still think you are an idiot and I don't feel safe around you. I'm not sorry either, my feelings are still the same from when I left you in the street. To be honest, I still think you are the one person in my life that can make me feel happy, but at the moment, you are the person who betrayed me the most out of everyone I have ever met. But before I walk away from you again, tell me one thing."
"Anything Sam."
"Why. Why would you put me through all of this pain just to get me here. Why couldn't you have spared me all the heartache and mental instability and just told me this is where I needed to be. It would have been so much easier."
"Do you think that if I could have convinced you to come you would have actually stayed and not strayed? Do you not know how many times I had thought to myself that it was bad that I was going to make you do something that you didn't want to do? The main reason was because I don't think that I could have made myself do all those things to you. And you can't tell me that nothing good came out of this, because you met Oli who you think is so much better than me anyway. Where is the new boyfriend anyway?"
"He disappeared. I hope you know, if you know anything about him, it would be brilliant if you could tell me because I need some hope. Isn't that what people do best in this town?" I was hoping that some of this town would rub off on me so I wouldn't be so cranky all the time. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either. I need to have a change in heart.
Literally just adds a whole other part to this chapter...
