Knowing Seasofme by sloanranger / VLSloan
We’ll sail up through the ether, with words that take us high,
through the air past puffy clouds way up in the sky.
“The Moon’s A Balloon,” David Niven said, and so it must be true,
but Seas and I, our wings outspread, will keep our rendevous.
Though I know her very well, I don't know my friend by sight,
her many faces will not tell, though I try with all my might.
So I’ll tap my toes impatiently, waiting for a sound -
cryptic, sensual words I’ll hear, then I’ll turn around.
Singing songs of seas no doubt and other ditties, too,
then she’ll bring the haiku out and I’ll say: “Hey, I know you!”
