Something was in front of me me. A metal door. A freaking metal door. What was a metal door doing here? Why the hell was I here? I was last-minute rushing my maths holiday homework. Then, poof! Here I am, in front of some metal door. This makes no sense.
But it looked like the freaking metal door was the only way out. I was in a square room with absolutely nothing else except for that door. So I just took a deep breath and walked through the door.
Everything was blue. Just blue. It looked like a town of some sort, but everything was blue. It felt uninviting. I was convinced I was underwater or something, but there was no water? And I was breathing just fine. So I walked through the town in hopes of finding something interesting. I had walked into what I presumed was the heart of the city. There was a water fountain in the middle. The atmosphere here was pretty different, although there was practically no one here.
Or so I thought.
A blue woman popped out from behind the fountain and scared the crap outta me. "Hi there, I'm Quinn!", she said before sticking her hand out for me to shake. I took it, and man, did I get the shock of my life.
The surrounding area may not have been water, but Quinn sure was. She was literally made up of water. I nearly pulled my hand away in shock.
"So how are you doing?" she asked me casually. "I, uh, I'm doing good! How about you!" I asked enthusiastically. Honestly, this place was cold, I wanted to get out.
"Out? You want to get out? Then out you shall go!" Quinn said. She grinned at me one last time before pushing me down the water fountain. I let out a scream in surprise before diving headfirst into the cold water. "Next time, keep your thoughts to yourself man! Good Luck!" I could hear her say as I fell through the water.
Good Luck for what? I thought as I went deeper into the fountain. The deeper I went, the colder it got. I squinted my eyes shut for a few seconds before I landed on the ground with a loud thud. Wait, ground. What ground?
I opened my eyes and saw another town, this time in red. I looked behind to see where I came from, and saw a similar fountain to the previous one, but instead it was filled with lava. I had passed through lava? I questioned myself. The water must have been so cold that I didn't feel the burn of the lava.
This town felt much more warmer and inviting than the previous one, but it was probably because this place was made up of fire or something. The last town was water, so this one was obvious the complete opposite, right? At this point I actually started questioning everything. How the heck did I get here? I thought this kinda stuff only existed in books and stories? Not in real life.
But I was here anyway, and I realised it was useless to question anything else at this point. The town was just as deserted as the previous one. If so, I should expect to find some loner like Quinn again.
"And you have indeed found that loner! Hey, I'm Alex", I turned around and looked at Alex. He was completely made out of fire, just like how Quinn was with water. I shook hand with Alex, and his were pretty warm. Unlike the trauma of the cold water fountain.
On that note I should also stop talking out loud to myself.
"So I assume you came from where Quinn was right?" Alex asked me, and I nodded. So this was all planned out and connected it seems. I wonder what for. "Well then, do you feel better here? What place do you like better, the Water Realm, or the Fire Realm?" he proceeded to ask.
I felt like I was taking some test. But the answer was pretty obvious to me, so I just responded "Fire". Alex grinned at me. "Well then, that's it for now! Have fun, and good luck! I'll see you around!"
What is it with these people and good luck? I thought as I watched Alex hit a stone on the fountain. Then, before I could expect it, he just pushed me back into the lava fountain. However, it didn't feel as bad as the water fountain.
It was quite warm, actually.

A few seconds later, I was transported to some other place. It was another square room. With another freaking metal door. Darn it.
However, the metal door was placed to the far right this time, and just as I noticed that, I saw a glass panel unfold beside the door, such that I could see what was on the other side. There was some woman there. She looked quite graceful. She was dressed extensively, so I believed she was a queen of some sort. And indeed she was.
"Hello you two. I am Queen Vycelia, the ruler of the land of Elementia. Now I know you have many question on what you just went through. But just give me a few moments and I'll explain everything to you right now."
"Elementia is the land of the elements. It is split into two realms, the Fire Realm and the Water Realm. Just now, you encountered samples of them. They aren't the real places, but just a gist of them. These were created as a part of the Test Of The Elements, TOTE for short, where we derive which realm each new member of Elementia is fit to join. We want to see which realm you are more comfortable so you can join that particular realm. You just took the test, and your results are in! Are you excited!"
Well, this woman loves talking. I nodded at her question as I tried to process everything she just said. It was quite extensive, and I bet there were a lot more details that we'll discover soon enough, but everything was pretty cool in the sense that such a world apart from Earth exists.
"Well then, let's announce your results!" Queen Vycelia continued. "You are part of the Water Realm" She said as she looked to the left of me. Someone else was here too. That's interesting. And cool too I guess because I'm jot the only one so confused down here.
"And you are to join the Fire Realm!" She says as she looks at me. "Now, let's talk more about your roles. You are the Earth Warriors of Elementia. You both also are earthlings, humans on earth, as well as members of Elementia. What you both will be doing is to defend your planet from the monsters of this world. Long story short, an evil superpower has opened a portal to unleash monsters to earth from here. The thing is, we don't know who this superpower is, so all we can do for now is to fight off the monsters before figuring out how to find out the mastermind."
"I hope this isn't an information overload for you two. As you guys have joined your realms, you are now Fireboy," she says as she addresses me, "And you are Watergirl" she looks to my left and addresses the other person, who is supposedly a girl. She then continues, "Right now, your task is to go and learn your powers. Open that metal door, and you will be teleported to another blank room where you can test out your powers! Adieu children, good luck!" She says before vanishing away mysteriously with a cloud of smoke.
She called us her children, ew, I thought as I walked through the door. I was teleported to the blank room, and once I reached, I noticed there was a mirror in the room. I looked at my reflection, and noticed that I had turned to be like Alex. I was made of fire. And it looked pretty cool.I turned around and noticed the spell book on the floor.
This looked like it was going to real fun.
