Watergirl
I remember its exact words.
Your wildest dreams will come true
And I can't help but think of this as I look at myself in the mirror and see the girl I saw in my dreams. Who knew it literally meant my dreams. What I had dreamt of that morning. Well, honestly, that dream was the wildest and most absurd one I had gotten in a while. But I felt like crap for hoping it would actually help me achieve my dreams.
It was never that easy, was it?
But I was someone who was open to new experiences. As I flipped through the spell book, I realise what complex things I would learn to do. I realised that the commitment we had as the Earth Warriors of Elementia was a lot.
It was funny to think that all these details and complications had someone appeared accompanied by a simple dream. But I was already here anyway, and I was quite excited to see what Fireboy and I were capable of. And I was also curious to see who this Fireboy was. I think the Queen did not let us introduce ourselves to each other on purpose. I wonder what's on her mind.
As I made my way through the spells and tried to memorise all of them, I realised that despite my element being less destructive that fire, there was actually a lot that I could do. There were also several special spells which required u to cooperate with each other, which was pretty cool.
After quite a while, I was suddenly summoned back to the main room. This time, I wasn't sent to the blank room. I was in the same room Queen Vycelia was in last time. And so was Fireboy. So I finally got to see him.
And he was the exact same person I had seen in my dreams. That was unsettling, because whatever happened in my dream wasn't pleasant, and I didn't want it to happen in real life too. But there were a lot of things that this "spell" seemed to be adding on and changing about my dream, so I truly hoped whatever happened there wouldn't happen in real life too.
"I just called you guys over to one last thing before sending you back to your human life. Never, and I mean, NEVER, tell anyone who you are and that this world exists. There are live portals on the world that have been created by this evil power, so if anyone searched for them and found this world, Elementia's balance will be affected badly. So don't reveal this to anyone, even your closest friend you would trust." Queen Vycelia said. We both nodded.
"Well then, that's it! I hope you will have fun as the Earth warriors of Elementia. I'll be sending you back now! And always remember, Imagination is your strongest ally!" she saud before sending us back.
And I fell back on my bed in my room. I turned to my left and looked at the clock. Funny, it looked like no time had passed at all. So time here pauses whenever we go to Elementia. Well , that would make it easy to keep up our secret. No one would even notice that we were gone. I felt exhausted after the entire experience, so I closed my eyes.
And somehow, it didn't take long for me to fall asleep
~~~
"A wild monster is attacking town square!" The headlines on the television screamed at me in all white, with an exclamation at the end. I just continued staring at the at the tv, not moving a single muscle. Wasn't this too soon for us, we barely knew a thing about what we had got ourselves involved in.
But apparent it was not, because right at that moment, I saw Fireboy on the screen, attacking the monster with all his might. At that moment I started moving because I knew I couldn't leave him alone to fend the monster off.
But how do I transform? I thought as I started pacing around the room. At that point, I remembered the Queen's last words to us. Imagination was our strongest ally. So I closed my eyes, and I imagined myself transforming into the girl I saw just a while ago, the girl I saw in my dreams. And when I opened my eyes and stood in front of the mirror, I saw her.
Without hesitating, I ran to window and flew out, right after checking if anyone was around to see me. But I was safe as my window looked at the woods which was right behind my house, so there was no one there, like usual. I flew towards the town square and joined Fireboy in battle.
As I flew in, I heard many gasps and shouts. That was the moment when I realise how I wasn't really supposed to exist. How these kinda creatures only existed in movies and books. I smiled to myself. Well too bad people, we exist, and you can't do much to stop us. I looked at the monster.
It was time to kick some butt.
"About time you came." I Fireboy said with a smile as he flew to me while fending off the beast by throwing some fireballs at it. "Sorry, I fell asleep right after everything happened." I replied while joining him in trying to destroy the beast.
"Well then Sleeping Beauty, do you remember the shield spell from the book, I think we can take him down with that" he replied. "I don't sleep that much, just so you know, but yeah I remember, so let's go." I said while flying off to the other edge of where the monster was.
As far as I could remember, what the spell was supposed to be about is that we would channel a shield together and whatever was in the shield would be destroyed after the shield was complete. When I saw that Fireboy was beginning to create it, I also started from my end, and by the time we finished, the monster was suffering.
And in a few seconds, it exploded.
I realised this was the opportunity for me and Fireboy to run off while everyone was distracted by the monster. I flew off to the highest floor of the town square, which I knew was mostly deserted because there wasn't an office there. Fireboy followed suit and we both met there.
"Good job, we finished our first mission!" He said as he held his hand up for a hi-fi. But when our hands smacked together, I felt a searing pain go through my arm.
And when I looked at him, he also looked like he was in pain. That's when I realised it. "Dude, You're made of fire, I'm made of water, I think that was supposed to happen." I said. He looked at me and gave me this I'm-so-done-with-life face, and I just laughed at him.
I saw that it was getting darker outside, so I realised it was time to go back. Sure, my door was locked so my mother wouldn't notice I was gone, she would think I was sleeping, but it was still for the best to go back. "So you think it's time to go back right." Fireboy told me while I was staring outside. "Yeah, I guess I'll see you soon." I replied.
He smiled at me and waved before taking off in the opposite direction I was supposed to go. I flew back towards home, while wondering what life had in store for the both of us from now on.
