I was reading the last chapter and cringing really, really hard. I didn't edit it, because well, I'm lazy that way. I'm really, sorry for not updating this book in forever. But part of that has to do with the cring level. Those of you that actually stuck with this book .... I'm so grateful.
What was she thinking, leaping in like that ... Idiot. I grimaced slightly.
I should probably take her to Annabeth ... I began trying to lift Tiffany up. She was only eighty pounds ( she's eighteen ) but I still couldn't carry her. And that's precisely why I'm dragging her through the grass. God, this was awkward.
* Fifteen minutes later*
Annabeth and Percy's house was only a block away. I could usually get here to there in two minutes, if I ran. But when you're dragging a friend, it takes fifteen : I know that now. I swung the door open and called for Annabeth and Percy. No response. Silence filled the room. This was all too familiar.
" Annabeth ! Percy !"
" Anyone ?"
I dreamt that night, of all the people that I loved disappearing from the world.
What else but a nice, short chapter without a cliffhanger at the end ? It's not THAT cliffhanger-y, unlike the usual. 😏
