After school I drove up to meet with my manager about some photo shoot. I smiled and shook his hand.
"Nice to fiannly see you again Mr.Rock"
"Mr. Rock? Really?"
We laughed. "Okay, raven the photo shoot I got you I starts Monday at 7"
Shit. that's when Sky performs. I never missed any of her dance performances.
"Then your gonna have to reschedule, I have something really important-"
"That girls dance? I'm sorry, i cant. it's too late"
I frowned. "Then I guess I'm not going. Cancel it."
"I can't just cancel it. That'll leave a bad rep"
"I don't care. I'm not going"
"you have to go, this photo shoot isn't like the previous ones you been to. This is the real deal. If you go, this will give you your final break. It's an opportunity that you can't give up"
I sighed. "Fine.."
"Look kid, what exactly is more important? Some bimbo or your career?"
I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.
"Say something like that about her again, it'll be the last thing you say. Your fired"
"You can't be serious! Your gonna fire me because you can't go to some girls dance show? Who else would want to manage you?"
I chuckled. "You think your all I get? I have lines of people that would gladly take your place. Next time shut your fucking mouth when it comes to someone they love and some job and you might actually keep one"
I walked away and got into my car. I blasted some music and drove to my house to be greeted by dawn. I flopped on my couch and sighed. Dawn jumped on my lap and layed down. I felt myself getting sleepy and fell asleep on the couch.
