*Rydel's p.o.v*

“K-Kelly, what are you doing here?” I ask.

Why, why did you come back, we're happy now, just go away.

I think to myself.

She pushes her way inside.

“Well, I saw the news this morning, really, you guys are getting married already? What's it been, like, five months?” she asks.

“Two years Kelly, almost three, and it's none of your business, we haven't even seen you around since he broke up with you.” I reply.

“Oh, you mean when you kissed my boyfriend and then he dumped me? That's not what I call a breakup.” she replies.

“For the record, HE kissed me.” I reply with a glare.

“Ratliff!” she exclaims, ignoring me.

I turn around just in time to see Ratliff drop the drinks he was holding.

I cover my mouth.

“K-Kelly, what are you doing here?” He asks, blushing slightly.

“Wow, I seem to be getting that question a lot.” she replies.

She walks up to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He pushes her away.

“What, I can't even hug my boyfriend anymore?” she asks.

He sighs.

“Kelly, I broke up with you, I haven't even seen you in like the last two years, I'm happy now, and you need to move on.” he replies.

Then he walks over to the door, opening it.

“And I think you need to leave.” he adds.

She glares at me, leaving the house with a huff.

Ratliff and I just stand in silence for a minute.

“Hey, don't turn nothin into somethin, ok.” he says, wrapping his arms around me, kissing my neck.

“What is this mess?” Mom asks from behind us.

We turn and face her, almost forgetting the party that had continued without stop.

“I'm sorry Mrs. Lynch, I’m such a klutz, I’m going to get a rag to clean it up right now.” Ratliff replies.

“Oh, it's alright dear, I’ll get it, don't worry about it, oh, Rydel, who was at the door?” mom asks.

“Uh, I'll explain later.” I reply, walking off to my room.

One of the comforting things about coming home was that mom and dad had agreed to leave my room as is if I ever wanted to come over for a night or something, I sat on my bed, crying.

*Ratliff's p.o.v*

I followed her to her room, closing the door behind me.

“Hun what's wrong?” I ask when I see her tears.

“I don't trust her Ellington, I don't trust her for a minute.” she replies, her mascara starting to run.

I go to her bathroom and wet a rag, wiping off her smeared makeup.

“Rydel, I'm marrying YOU not Kelly, I’m not interested in her, not since I started dating you.” I reply, wiping off more of her smeared makeup.
