Chapter Sixteen: The Immortals

"Wow this place is surreal" I say as we pull up to a dark castle
"I know but remember my friends aren't as nice as me and we all have some very different traditions don't refuse them unless absolutely necessary , lets go love "he says as he holds the door open and takes my arm as we walk into the large castle.well this is going to get interesting just try not to get into trouble that's the plan.
"Welcome Ivanigiv OO who is this here " the strange man says while circling us, I smile and let Ivan introduce me because that is the polite thing to do
"This is Lilith , Lilith this is my brother Hanrik"Ivan says
"Nice to meet you Hanrik"I say as I do a small Courtesy
"Oh I bet Ivan here told you all about my old fashioned way a simple handshake will do though I suspect that not all the things he said were flattering" Hanrik said while shaking my hand "why do you have the gloves I know they are not for fashion for a dress like that never is paired with gloves it must by your side effect am I right I want a hand shake without the gloves "Hanrik says while taking away my gloves
"May I have my gloves back it is not a good idea for me to be without them " I say as Ivan shakes his head as to say no to his brother
"Oh I'm sure it won't be a terrible idea " Hanrik says as he grips my hand and immediately feels them sucking the life out of him as he turns a pale gray I pry his hand off mine as he wakes he says "brother you really did bring a star guest " he starts laughing as I slide my gloves back on.
"Let's go meet the others before dinner " he takes my arm and drags me into the room crowded with people all different talents the were determined to show me them all but not one more person asked about mine for hours I met people who were like me but not one of them had the same talents as me "Lilith it is almost time for dinner I have to warn you we will be eating normal but after okay well all immortals live off of some form or another of life and they will be serving some strange thing but just stay calm and say no thank you unless I say other wise"he says worried
"Ivan would you mind if I walk Lilith here to the dinner table?"Hanrik says with a sinister smile plastered on his face
"I-um - Lilith?"Ivan stammers
"Sure "I lean in close to Hanrik and whisper "if you try anything I promise you will be paralyzed by the pain and won't be able to move for at least 20 years as a start" I say
"Hey Ivan this ones a keeper " Hanrik yells to Ivan as he laughs hysterically as he walks me to the table and he sits to my left while Ivan sits to my right
"So you never told me you had a brother Ivan "I say
"Oh yes I do have a brother Named Hanrik you have met him and well that's all the family I have left" Ivan quickly says
"Ivan is the eldest we used to have a sister but I killed her " Hanrik says and starts laugh more till a bell rings and servers rush out of the kitchen laying a small salad and soon enough a server was standing beside each and ever guest and to my surprise they each took a knife and slit a cut on there wrist filling each glass with blood "oh this looks delicious" Hanrik says while licking his lips
"Oh um Lilith Hanrik and I have lived this long because we are um well Vampires"Ivan stutters through his sentence
"MY GOD IVAN NEVER TOLD YOU HAHAHAHAHAH"Hanrik starts laughing "that's why you agreed to come here didn't you he called me and told me about you I just assumed That he had told you"Hanrik sips his drink
"I knew that you couldn't be human and well its not that shocking well Hanrik guess what I am guess if you want to make fun of you brother try to think of what I am "I tell them while trying a small bit of the blood huh not that horrible blood doesn't taste as bad as I thought it would but vampires I thought they were fake but hey who am I to judge.
"Um well maybe a reaper?"Hanrik answers
"Nope I am the last FREAKING LEVIATHAN ON THIS PLANET so there's a taste of you own medicine"I say as they both turn pale "ugh I am not a serpent and I will not eat you so calm down and look alive "I say as they calm down
"Um leviathan are extinct"Ivan says
"Do I look dead?"I say back
"No you look beautiful more beautiful than I have ever seen in my very very long life"hanrik says while trying to woo me
"Do I look stupid I am not going to be wooed over one dinner especially to a man that made me use my powers for fun"I retort"if I were you two I wouldn't say another word till you have thought it through"I say back while finishing off my drink
"You look stunning in that dress it reminded me of Katerina from the book you were reading before we left"Ivan says hopefully
"Yes I thought that it did that's why I loved it so, this has been a lovely dinner my guess is that this is the first course?"I ask
"Yes we have one or two more if you want to stay for desert"Hanrik says
